I spun my new blade in my hand as the rain drizzled, the trials pushed back one more day after we came back.

I swung my arm, letting the grip go so it spun in the air and I caught it, the blade flat alongside my forearm.

With a flick of my wrist I spun it as I let it go and grabbed it the right way and running up my other hand its length.

Why did my father want to give me this? Why was this blade so strange?

I have many pieces of many puzzles and yet none fit together.

I let out a small frustrated scream, fire sparking in my free hand and the blade blazing in the other.

I started at it, the fire magic I supplied to my hand had made fire cover the edge of the blade, not orange nor blue but...

"Silver?" This just added another mystery to the blade itself, how?

As I waved the blade left and right the fire trailed after like it would for my feet and I snapped my wrist, sending an arch of silvery white flames flying at the ground.

"Lasracha." I whispered, the name fitting the sword perfectly for it bright silver blade and flames.

I flicked my wrist around, making the tip circle before spinning on myself and throwing the blade with the momentum.

I hummed pleased, having struck the middle of the target set out.

The fire snuffed itself out, so..... I could set the sword's edge ablaze if I actively touched it and had magic flowing through it.

I pulled it out of the wood and felt the edge carefully but even so I ended up with a thin cut on my thumb, not even blunted.

A strange blade indeed making me ask even more questions as too why my father had this in his possession, mother knew one wild magic spell, one, and it was being able to snuff out an poisonous properties of anything she could make the active soul sucker harmless and no one else there knew wild magic so no one could channel it in the blade and blades over there were made curved no matter if one or two hands, always had a curve.

I held the blade in a revers grip and raised it up before my eyes and pulled my other hand along the middle of the blade, pinching it between my fingers, burning its name into the steel in its runic form.

"Seems you are just another thing to figure out." I said to myself as I sheathed it.

I rubbed my face as I headed to my room and got back to translating the text.

It had taken all my time I could channel into it to make a reliable alphabet to use to translate the text and even now I wasn't sure if I had it all good, some words not making sens so maybe there were accents? Punctuation? Or letter that didn't exist anymore?

This puzzle is so hard to solve, the attempted murders, weird dreams of a guy I know but forgot about, this sword, this book, me reading ancient Draklian and the void, somehow I... I would put my hand to be cut if they weren't all connected somehow.... Somehow.... But how?! There is this thread I am missing.

I need to find out an answer to one of these, just one, and I'll get most of it or at least a few answered.

I sighed as I glanced at the sword on my bed before standing and deciding to pay a visit to my princess.

"Audrey!" But no answer came which was odd, it was late enough for her too be here and open her shuttered for me. "Audrey?!"

I lifted myself with the vines and opened the shuttered looking at the room, all was lit and a book open on the bed, weird she'd mark it with her bookmark if she ever left it unattended.

I stepped inside, hoping she like was playing a joke on me before I looked at the new incense she had gotten as gift, making smoke, it was from Ethan if I remember rig--

I marched over and crushed it in my hands and with a wave of my hand the air rushed out of the room through the window with fresh air coming in, magic still slightly unhinged so papers had gone flying up in the air and books knocked over.

An extremely loud thunder struck despite the drizzle before three others followed close behind in my anger.

"ETHAN!!!!!" I screamed as I kicked the door down, no doubt in my mind that everyone within these echoing walls had heard me.

I picked my feet and just sprinted across the wing, this was the royal family's wing so I saw them sticking out their head out of the door as I made Ethan's door implode on itself.

"DON'T TOUCH HER!!!" The vines outside his windows tore away from the wall in anger and laced his body up, pressing him against the stone wall off his room, one growing a thorn that poked at his jugular. Feeling the pointed tip rest against his skin enough to feel it as he swallowed. "Hey Audrey! Snap out of it!" I shook her shoulders and she looked so confused as she coughed out blue smoke, luckily not yet affected enough to need to throw it up.

"What is the meaning of this?!" The queen walked up in her white night gown.

"I am sorry for such rude behavior but that man over there!" I pointed at Ethan. "Has not only been behind turning the council against the Highness but also gifted her this, knowing what it was precisely." I finally uncurled my fist with the rest of the blue incense stick before closing and shaking it, making the smell float around the room.

"That's vanilla." She said seriously.

"Pay closer attention Majesty."

"What are yo-- Wait that's?"

"Alernia? Yeah thought so too, it is no uncommonly sold in small oil form in vials, waaaaaay less potent then what was used in the trial, people like to put a few drops in the incense to relax but for us to smell it? This must have been doused in it and it was Ethan's gift to the princess, it makes someone compliant to anything while thinking they want it, borderline hallucinating." With a wave of my hand what was left of the incense and the air in the room was out the window.

The queen just looked shocked at her own nephew could think of this.

"Why?!" I yelled at him as the queen couldn't find her words for once.

"I will be king!"

"That stupid wish drove you to this?!" I couldn't believe it.

"Ethan." I straightened and clasped my arms behind me, standing ready as the queen's voice called for respect, order and silence. "You stepped over the line." And those words sealed his fate. "Mage please take my daughter away."

"Highness." I let her hook her arm around mine and guide her away, if I had arrived just a bit later what could have become of this.

"I don't wanna be alone tonight." She muttered, probably thinking what I saved her from and what could he have done.

"I'll watch over you."

"Good."
