The morning couldn't come faster.

"Come on get up." I shook Audrey a bit. "Audrey." She wasn't very cooperative. "Oh you will so hate me."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH FUCK!!!!"

I ended up slapped but I expected as much for using magic to condense water over her body and letting it fall to drench her.

"You have a firm hand." I said as answer to the hit.

"Holy hell Mystery!" She exclaimed, still all wet. "Why?!"

"You wouldn't wake up."

"Bitch."

"Language."

"You are stricter on language than my teachers I swear."

"What can I say? Belladonna was persistent which is why I don't usually curse as you know."

"Can you at least dry me off now?"

"Sure." Water rose off in steam of her as I waved my hand over her body. "There."

"Much better so why did you need to wake me?"

"Well we can't camp out in the same place as that would make us easy to catch and we need food."

"Don't you have seeds of a fruit?"

"I do but that would grow a tree and not a fruit, we'd need bees to pollinate it, have your gem secured?"

"yep." She said, patting the pockets that had gone completely unnoticed on her pants.

"I have the fear they can be easily tracked to so that's why we are moving too." I said, walking in front and she followed me.

"Oh yeah all the criminals and other participants too, they are hunting us so they must have a way to track us."

"Exactly."

We Walked for a while.

"Here." I pointed up before crouching down and jumping up to grab a branch and hoist myself on it, reaching up and plucking an apple from the tree and dropping it to her before getting one myself. "Tell me if you prefer meat." I said while jumping down.

"You don't eat meat tho."

"I know that's why I asked to tell me if you wanted."

"But you'd be killing an animal."

"I know that but I wouldn't go the stupid way of letting the animal suffer, painless death."

"Oh I get it."

To my honest surprise we actually met no one that day or night which actually wasn't reassuring to me at all... Not at all...

"Ah this is easy." Audrey smiled as I was more on edge as the seconds passed.

"Highly unlikely, this isn't normal." I think it was enough for me to say that to jinx us so hard my ancestors would be ashamed.

I slide in front of Audrey and threw out my hands, arrows bouncing off the magical barrier.

"You jinxed us!" We both said accusingly at the other before I pulled out my blade and crossed blades with one man that came rushing.

I pointed the blade at him as he ran at me, he stepped back before he could run at me.

I swing my arm slightly as I lunged forth, slashing through chest with ease.

My forte was a staff as it was from a plant and if harvested right the soul would live as in souls but people have seen me use a dagger and the mentioned bow so being proficient with a sword it isn't a surprise either plus this blade was special.

I poked towards him when another tried to move closer.

I dipped my blade slightly to let the one that was swung pass over it instead of classing with it and slid my foot forwards to plunge the blade through the opponents torso.

I pulled it out and spun the blade so it rested against my shoulder and back as I blocked a woman's strike this time.

She looked surprised under my glare and I lifted my other hand, sending an ice shard straight into her face.

I dropped into a crouch and slashed the legs of my next opponent, grabbing him and bringing him down, I let my blade go and yanked out my dagger and stabbed him several times in the chest.

"Eat shit." I said with a scary smirk as I brought my hands in front of me, straight out and threw them out in a half circle, everyone catching ablaze.

I heard screamed words which intrigued me before I turned to Audrey, she yanked her sword out of a body.

"You are too fast."

"What can I say I am a mage, the all powerful unit."

"You kill like fifteen all at once while I could only help with one."

"Don't beat yourself up for not being able to help, I'll always have a higher kill count." I wiped my dagger off and picked up my sword, sheathing it. "Tho didn't you hear?"

"The screams? Yeah of course."

"No no, I mean just before they were set aflame and even at the very start of the fight, one of them screamed in fear about me being a mage.... They didn't know I was one."

"And?"

"I think they thought we'd be ease to kill so they concentrated their forces on the others." I said.

"Doesn't make sense they'd have been freed if they killed us because of the deal in place."

"Sometimes you prefer to leave the easiest to last but now.... I fear we are being actively hunted.."
