two weeks have passed since win and bright last talked personally, though they always find time to at least talk to each other through texts and sometimes video calls. with both of them being engineering students, they are having a hard time with their internships. bright seldom goes to the office. most of the time he's on sites with qualified engineers mentoring him. win is stuck in the office doing mostly paper works and research of design basis information in utility databases.

while win gets home on a usual time, bright gets home an hour after him. that has went on for two weeks straight until today when they both get off from work on the same time. at the parking lot, bright gets out of his car and opens his arms wide. his lips stretch into a smile when he sees win, waving at him.

"i really missed you," bright whispers on win's ear as he has him wrapped in his arms. win buries himself on bright's neck and gives him a few or so kisses while mumbling the words 'me too'.

bright is still chuckling when win scoots away from him and twiddles his head as if looking for something. confused, bright stays still from where he stands.

"are you looking for someone?"

win bites his lower lip and taps his foot on the flooring.

"no, i just thought i saw someone."

bright laughs, "ghosts aren't real, babe. how many times have i told you that?"

he tries to pull win towards him, but win doesn't move. he simply continues what he's doing and looks from his left and right.

"no, bright. i thought one of my seniors was there," pointing on the car approximately five meters away from them. "he could have seen us."

anger rushes inside bright, which makes him arch his eyebrow. "why? it's not like we're doing anything wrong."

"hey, don't take it that way." win's voice softens. he takes two steps towards bright, and puts hands on his shoulders when bright removes it.

"then what was that? because now that i'm looking at you, you're scared. or wait, what's that face you're making? is that out of guilt?" bright snorts as he gets inside the car. it doesn't take long for win to follow.

when the doors are closed, no one tries to speak. he could hear bright breathing deep, as if he's stopping himself from saying whatever it is in his head.

"i like you, bright. really. it's just that, this is new to me. everything feels surreal, yes, but it's still new. i didn't mean to make you feel that way," win says, glancing at bright who's looking at the steering wheel.

"please talk to me, bright. let's not argue over this okay? i really missed you. do you remember when we were kids--"

win's words are cut by the searing glare bright is giving him. he's never seen him this angry before and he's scared.

"we were kids back then, win. we didn't know anything but fun and games," bright says as he looks away, covering his face with his palm. "just tell me if you don't want this anymore. i'll accept you dumping more than you being ashamed of me."
