FEAR,
It is one of mans most contradictory feelings.
It pushes you to take the leap but keeps you from taking off,
It pushes the body beyond limit but can take away it's ability to move,
It makes the mind move a mile per minute but can wipe it of all it's ever known.
FEAR,
It is the greatest rival of mans feelings and emotions.
Love walked her up the altar but fear chased her down at 'I do',
Hate put a gun in his hand but fear kept him from pulling the trigger,
Happinesses brightened up her face but fear clawed it's way into her eyes,
Sadnesses had him crying by her body but fear sent him running from her killer,
Pride kept his head held high but fear had him groveling in the mud.
Admiration persuaded Peter to follow Jesus to the ends of the earth, but fear pushed him to deny Jesus almost without second thought.
1 Corinthians 13 : 13.
"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
In the long run faith, hope and love always wins the war.
But in that one moment,
Fear,
Never looses a battle.
