My father and I entered the living room where Jay and my mother sat on the couch. Their conversation was cut short as we entered. My mother stood up quickly at the sight of me. She was obviously shocked. As she stepped toward me, my father stopped her, looking her in the eye and shaking his head. This simple gesture made me want to break into tears. My parents sat back on the couch as Jay looked on, most likely confused.
"Is everything alright?" He questioned, his eyes flipping from me to my parents and back again. I let out a shaky breath, my eyes glued to the floor. Tears blurred my vision as Jay stood up and joined my side. His arms resting on my shoulders and rubbing them in a comforting way.
"Celine, please tell me Alpha Pierce knows." My mother muttered. Her voice so quiet, almost inaudible.
"Silver?" Jay's voice was so soft and comforting, but I knew my parents were going to ruin everything right now. My past would be revealed and Jay would surely reject me.
"Alpha?" My mother spoke up, "Her name is Celine."
My mother stood and gently put her hand on Jay's shoulder. She was worried and I now understood Jay's relationship with my parents. He was like a son to them, while they had disowned their own daughter for a mistake she made in the past. Apparently, my parents didn't believe in forgiveness. The tears began to stream down my cheeks. I couldn't hold back anymore. I held my arms, trying to comfort myself as the tears fell, like waterfalls.
"She told me her name is Silver Ember." Jay sighed, his hands leaving my shoulders. Leaving me with my own comfort, and I slightly missed his touch. I missed the comforting sparks that raced through me.
"I'm sorry to say this, Alpha. Her name is Celine Amber. She ran away with a rogue about a year ago and we haven't seen or heard from her since." My mother's voice sounded calming and truthful, but it stung. Her words hurt as she spoke like I wasn't there.
"Silver?" Jay's voice made me meet his eyes, "Is this true?"
I was trapped in a corner. I couldn't lie. My parents would catch me, but I dreaded the repercussions of the truth. I dreaded what was to come, so I admitted defeat and I nodded. My voice to broken to answer. More tears fell, some now falling off my chin and onto the floor and my clothes.
"She's a liar, Alpha. That rogue corrupted her and now she's come to plague the pack with her false loyalty. She will destroy us if you let her." My father hissed, his voice was like venom, poisonous.
"Do not speak of your Luna like that." Jay commanded, using his alpha voice. I couldn't help but flinch. My parents replied by nodding with a 'Yes, Alpha.'
"What was the rogue's name?" Jay commanded again. My eyes shot to his, but his wasn't asking me, he was asking my parents. He didn't trust me enough to answer honestly. My parents had gotten into his head, making him think I was a liar. I couldn't believe it. My own parents had now successfully turned my mate against me.
"Dylan." My dad began, "Dylan Wilde."
"Dylan Wilde!?" Jay exclaimed, anger evident in his features, "The rogue king!?"
"Yes, Alpha." My das replied, his head down.
I looked at my dad, my heart breaking. He had just ruined my entire life in a name. The name of my cookie, my attacker. The name of the man I wanted nothing more than to see right now. I wanted him to take me away. I couldn't be in this room anymore. I needed to get out. The tension was suffocating me. I wiped some tears from my eyes and bolted outside. I heard Jay call after me, and I heard my parents stop him. They were turning him against me. He would surely reject me now and I would be alone for the rest of my life.
I sat on the steps of the porch and sobbed into my hands. Letting all the tears out as the sun began to set, allowing the full moon to rise into the sky. I hadn't noticed how much time had passed while we were here. I heard steps coming closer to me, and I didn't care.
"Don't cry, my dear. The sun has set and your blood shall coat the moon." His voice was the only one I wanted to hear right now. Without even looking up, I stood and leaped into his arms. The tears now falling like waterfalls down my cheeks. His arms enveloped me as I stood there in content.
"Take me away." I whispered, my voice barely audible as it broke with sadness.
"That is why I'm here, my dear." Dylan cooed, petting my hair and kissing my head. He wrapped his arms around my waist and began to lead me away from the house. I didn't fight. My body was numb as I clung to his body. At this point, he was the only stable thing in my life right now.
Sierra growled at me as Dylan lead me away. I couldn't care less. My mate had betrayed me at this point and right now I wanted nothing to do with him. He could go and be merry with my parents while Dylan and I lived happily ever after. Sierra growled again and blocked me out, which I didn't mind at the moment. She'd be mad until I returned to Jay, but I just couldn't, not any time soon at least. I needed time, although that was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.
