Will: What happened Jay?
Jay: She was shot in the chest. Will please save her I can't lose her. *Jay starts tearing up*
Will: I'm going to get her into surgery. I'll update you as soon as I hear something.
Jay could not lose Hailey before letting her know how he feels. He loves her.
A few hours past by and nothing has been said to Jay.
He finds Natalie to see if she knows something.
Jay: Hey, Nat, you heard anything on Hailey?
Nat: Let me check, yeah she is still in surgery. Maybe another hour or so?
Jay: Alright thanks Natalie.
Nat: You're welcome.
Jay didn't know if he could go another hour or minute even without knowing the fate of Hailey.
Will comes out and finds Jay.
Will: Hey Jay.
Jay: Hey is Hailey ok? Did she make it?
Will: Yes, she made it she's in room 312. You can go see her. She's unconscious though.
Jay: Thanks Will.
Jay walks in to see Hailey hooked up to multiple machines.
Jay: Hey Hailey it's me Jay.
Jay knew she was unconscious but wanted her to know he was there. He began to feel guilty about this.
Jay grabs Haileys hand and stays there.
A few hours pass and Jay is still holding Haileys hand, asleep.
Hailey begins to wake up a little.
Hailey: Jay?
Jay wakes up.
Jay: Hailey. You're awake! I'm going to get Will.
Will walks in.
Will: Hailey! Good to see you up!
Hailey: Yeah feels good too.
Will: Well everything looks good currently. You will need someone to be staying with you or checking in with you often.
Jay: She can stay with me, I have a guest bedroom not being used.
Hailey: Thanks, but you don't have to do that.
Jay: Hailey. Come on. It's the least I can do.
Hailey: Ok fine.
