Sky's POV

Violet and I are already dating, she moved to my apartment as soon as we came back from Auckland. She didn't come to work today because she's not feeling well so I bought her a hot porridge on my way home.

I'm about to insert my key on the door of my apartment when I noticed that it's not locked. I suddenly felt nervous, Violet is cautious and she'll never leave the door open. I removed my gun on my holster before slowly opening the door. I sighed in relief when I saw Pug sleeping on the floor.

"She probably just forgot to lock it because she's sick," I said before putting my gun back to its holster.

I placed the porridge on the dining table and excitedly went up to my room to wake her. My excitement is immediately replaced by fear when I saw Lady Mystique with a gun pointing on Violet's head.

"What took you so long love?" she asked seductively.

The room is messy and Violet's lower lip is bleeding. What I don't understand is that my dog seems to be calm even though a stranger is in our house/.

"Violet has nothing to do with us" I gently said to her while my hands up in front of me.

"Can't you see? She's the reason why we can't be together, because she stole you away from me" she said annoyed.

"You know that's not true. We don't have a relationship. Please, let her go and kill me instead" I explained but it only aggravated her anger.

"That's sweet, but I can't do that because you and her can never be together" she said before pulling the trigger.

"No!" I immediately opened my eyes and sighed in relief when I realized that it's just a bad dream.

I turned on my right side and was not surprised when I didn't see Violet beside me. She's probably in the stable again to check her horses. I smiled when I remember what happened last night.

I'm not sure how I'm going to face her later and I hope that she's not mad at me. I finally had the courage to admit to her that I like her, but she didn't respond last night because she's very tired.

I slowly got off the bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up. I went down afterwards to eat breakfast and I'm so glad when I saw Mr. Vausse eating in the dining area.

"Good morning, did you have a good sleep?" he asked before motioning me to sit on the chair in front of him.

"Yes, yesterday was a blast" I replied politely before thanking the maid after she poured coffee on my cup.

"Do you plan to go somewhere today?" he asked afterwards.

"I don't know, it depends if Violet is not busy" I casually said while slicing the pancake.

I don't care even if I don't leave the house, as long as Violet is with me I'm okay with it.

"She already left actually" he said before wiping his mouth with table napkin.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused. He gazed at me intently for a few seconds before shaking his head.

"She left around five in the morning, she told me that there's an urgent matter that she needs to finish in L.A." he said apologetically and took a sip of his coffee afterwards.

"But why didn't she wake me up?" I blurted in surprise.

"Well, she told me that no one knows that you came here in Auckland so you can't leave together" he explained after shrugging his shoulders.
