Can you really forgive someone who caused you so much pain?

Can you really forget someone who gave you so much to remember?

Do you ever regret that she was not the the first person you met?

Do you sometimes wonder what if you did not meet?

If we never met,
I would never want my kids to have another mother if it's not her.

If we never met,
I don't want anyone else but her.

If we never met,
I would not open my arms to hug someone else.

If we never met,
I would not realized that it was always her for me.

If we never met,
I would not see her worth.

If we never met,
I could never repent for my sins.

If we never met,
I could never have the chance to correct my mistakes.

If we never met,
I could never free myself from the past.

Yes. If we never met,
I'd still choose not to breathe.

If we never met,
I'd still choose not to live.

If we never met—.
No. Let me rephrase it—
Atleast, we met.

Atleast, I've learned to love.
Atleast, I learned what it feels like to be hurt.
Atleast, I learned how painful it is to be ignored and rejected.

Atleast, I've learned how to get up when I fall seven times.
I've leadned to correct my mistakes.

Atleast, I've learned that there are people who just go through our lives to teach us a lesson.

I learned that there are people who just go through our lives to give life into life.

I've learned that there are people who just go through our lives so we can say atleast we met them.

Sometimes, we need to forget people from our past, because of one simple reason—
they just don't belong to our future.

I've learned that there are people who just go through our lives so we can free ourselves from our past.

“Don't ever let the shadows of your past darken the door steps of your future.”

“forget your past, forgive yourself and begin again. There is nothing more fulfilling when you learn how to forgive yourself and free it from your past—”

“because sometimes, we can only survive by forgetting.”

And to Laikynn, I hope you know that you are the best thing that ever happened to me. And thank you so much for giving me another chance to learn how to breathe again— and give life into life—.

I'm glad that I met you and loved me more than yourself.

But for now, I will set you free to give you the opportunity to love yourself as well. Please always remember that I'd always choose to meet you. I'd still choose to look for you in the sea of people and I'll never regret knowing such an amazing person like you.

“And when you remember painful things from your past, when you feel empty and lonely— don't look into the eyes of those memories.”

“you do not belong to me. you belong to love.”

Sincerely,
Benedict
