It all started with a wish and began with a falling star...

The annual Lyrid meteor shower put on an exceptional show for sky watchers this year, with the new moon setting the stage for gorgeous "shooting stars" to prance across the dark night sky.

During the Lyrid meteor shower, which peaked overnight on April 21-22, viewers in the Northern Hemisphere were treated to as many as 20 visible meteors per hour in places with clear, dark skies devoid of light pollution, which can drown out some fainter meteors. And, without any bright moonlight to outshine these so-called "shooting stars," viewing conditions for this year's Lyrids were the best in years.

Kasalukuyan akong nagsasagawa ng research about the Lyrid Meteor Shower, I love astronomy so much so I always conduct a research about it. I already watched the news and it says that it'll be seen by the naked eye this evening and tomorrow morning.

Sinara ko na ang laptop ko at tinignan ang aking relo, 10:31 pm na pala. Nag ayos muna ako ng buhok at nagpalit ng damit, cause I'm going to watch with him. Puto kinikilig ako shems.

I decided to go outside my room to talk to my parents. Bumaba na ako ng hagdan at nakita ko si Mommy at Daddy na nasa sala at nanonood ng TV. Mukhang good mood sila ngayon.

"Mom, Dad can I ask something?" tanong ko sa kanila.

"What is it Luna?" said Dad.

"Can I go outside to watch the Meteor Shower tonight? Diyan lang ako sa malaking puno na malapit sa bahay natin. Di po ako magtatagal promise." pagpapaalam ko sa kanila.

"That's okay Luna, be sure to be back before midnight ok?" sambit ni Mommy.

"Oh, and one more thing...uhm can I accompany Eleven with me?" nahihiya kong tanong sa kanila.

"Sure thing, mas maganda kung kasama mo siya. Malay ba natin kung may masasamang tao sa labas. Just don't do anything lewd or els—ouch!!" sigaw ni Dad nang binatukan siya ni Mommy.

"Prometheus! What the hell are you saying?!" sigaw ni Mommy at napatawa na lang ako.

"Yes Dad, we won't. We're just going to watch the shooting stars under the tree, nothing else. Goodbye Mom and Dad, I'll be back later" pagpapaalam ko sa kanila at tuluyan na akong lumabas sa malaki naming bahay.

Di ako ganon kaclose sa mga magulang ko dahil mas paborito nila ang Kuya ko kaysa sa akin. It's okay with me though. The thought of seeing my parents happy makes me smile, even if it's not with me. Sanay rin naman na kong mag isa e tsaka lagi namang ako yung di pinipili. I'm short, option lang ako pero hindi yung choice. #Hugot char ang arte ko lang.

My brother's not here because he's a pilot, mayaman din ang pamilya namin dahil malaki ang kinikita ng magulang ko sa business nila. I want to be an Astronomer but right now, I'm studying Medicine. Yun kasi ang gusto nila na i-pursue ko and after that, I'll study again with a different course.

Malapit lapit lang din ang lalakarin ko papunta sa punong pagtatambayan namin. By the way, I haven't introduce Eleven yet. Eleven is my...uhhm my lov—I mean my bestfriend.

Naglakad na ako papalabas ng bahay, I brought my little flashlight with me and wore my black hoodie. Binilisan ko pa ang lakad ko hanggang sa matanaw ko na ang malaking puno na kung saan ay doon kami magkikita ni Eleven. Tumawid ako ng kalsada at dumiretso na sa puno.

Nang makarating na ay umupo ako sa damo at isinandal ang ulo ko sa puno. Wala pa siya, sabagay ay mas malapit ang bahay ko dito. I checked the time and it's 10:42 pm, itetext ko na lang siguro si Eleven.
