A Chance Meeting (Rohan Kishibe X Reader)

The Second Issue

You didn't want to feel too eager to read one of Rohan's manga, but your curiosity ultimately got the best of you. You clench your teeth in embarrassment as you walk out of the store with a bag in hand. "Dammit!" You cursed to yourself as you gripped the bag. Josuke turns around. "Something wrong?" He asks genuinely concerned. "O-oh it's nothing! I was thinking out loud!" You respond embarrassed you had voiced your thoughts without realizing it. "If you says so, oh I have to walk this way now, see you tomorrow!" Josuke says with a wave. You wave back and then continue on alone as Okuyasu lived near josuke. Once arriving home you eagerly head up stairs to read the manga that you heard had been revised. (That means he altered something? Or did he add something to it? ) you think as you start to flip through the pages. You read the story as normal not finding anything in particular that seemed out of the ordinary for a manga of this nature. It was still strange to see a character that resembled yourself play the main character in a shoujo manga. You read continue to read the manga and watch your character walk into a store. This was nothing out of the ordinary and start to think that it was all some misunderstanding,However,That thought ceased once you noticed what kind of shop the main character was in. It was a sandwich shop! And one that had a striking resemblance to the one Josuke had taken you to just earlier today. (That's totally ST Gentlemen's!) you think as you scan the panel. (He couldn't have possibly put what just happened to us into his manga! Is he really that fast at creating manga?) you contemplate. You gulp and return your attention back to the manga. (surely he was just taking inspiration from your second embarrassing encounter with him.) you think as you read move onto the next page of the manga. The two characters in the manga encounter a very similar situation to the one you encountered earlier, soon both characters accidentally touch hands while reaching for a sandwich just like you and Rohan had. You chuckle as you read it expecting the same thing that happened to you to happen to your doppelganger manga counterpart, except it didn't. You frantically read the next few lines out loud to yourself. "oh do you want this sandwich? take it i insist!" the unnamed male character said. "oh is it really okay? i think you grabbed it first..." The female protagonist said. The male character bends down hand hands it to you. :just think of it as a gift for such a beautiful girl as yourself?!" you read that part louder than the others. "that's not what happened!! why is this so far from what actually happened?!" you yell out loud to yourself as you start to frantically read through the rest of the manga. (why did he write it like that...oh wait....this is a shoujo manga....but is that how our encounter inspired him?) you think as a slight blush spread across your cheeks. you shake your head. (no no that cant be it!) you think as you catapult into your bed and bury you blushing face into your pillow. you calm down and inspect the manga further. "still it is weird seeing something that happened between us could inspire this cutesy manga moment.." you say to yourself as you lean back onto your bed. you place the second volume of A chance meeting next to the other. Before you turned away, you noticed the the two books were nearly identical aside from cover art and one other aspect, a letter that seemed to serve no other purpose that being a random letter on the side of the book. You place the two book next to each other confused by why Rohan would add a useless letter to his manga spines. The first issue had the letter i under the title of the book, and the second had the letter L. "I? L? what could that possibly be for? the title? doesn't make much sense.." you say to yourself. You begrudgingly give up in the mystery and lay down.

You wake up with a start realizing you had slept in. You rush towards school skipping breakfast. As you run two more runners join you i your stride. "seems we all made the same mistake!" Josuke says as he and Okuyasu run up to your side. "Well i am glad i am not alone." you say with a chuckle as you all begin to do the final sprint towards the closing gate. Much to your non-surprise the gate guard rushed to get it closed so you three would be locked out of school. "oh come on!" you blurt out loud as you grab onto the gate and start to pull it. Joskue and Okuyasu join in your futile attempt to open the gate. "Oi! let us in we would have been on time!" Okuyasu. "Yeah let us in you bastard!" Joskue blurts as he punches the gate. The gate guard laughs as he walks towards the school. "Don't make me get you written up for indecent language!" The gate Guard says as he goes towards the school. You punch the gate one more time in anger and then hear a small chuckle coming from behind you. You speedily turn your head to see who you already knew would be Rohan Kishibe. (no he is here again to immortalize my embarrassing moments! ) you think as you watch him frantically draw. "whats he up to?" Okuyasu says. "Have you forgotten hes a mangaka?" Josuke adds. "Oh yeah!" Okuyasu responds. you feel your face heat up a bit as you were both a bit angry and embarrassed. Rohan notices your expression and smirks as he turns to a new page to draw it. You groan and the take a deep breath before marching over to Rohan. "I take it you are finding more source material for your manga's?" you say a bit sternly. "Oh yes you are the best source of entertainment i've had for weeks!" Rohan says with his usual full if himself tone. "We aren't just entertainment for you!" Josuke says getting a bit heated. Rohan raises his brow and smirks a little."Tch, you think you could ever be portrayed in my manga?" Rohan says as he shoots Joskue and Okuyasu a glare. "Like wed want that!" Joskue says getting even more heated. "guy...lets stop fighting...but....speaking of being portrayed in manga....that last issue of yours was very Inspired...oh where oh where did you get that idea from?" You say knowing Rohan would understand what you were talking about. rohans face softens a little. "Y-you read it?..." Rohan says in a tone of voice much more calm that his usual one. Rohan then seems to notice his behavioral switch and changes back. "Of course you read it! i am one of the most famous mangaka after all...." Rohan says as he quickly stand up and closes his sketchbook. Rohan then seems to force a smirk. "you'll just have to wait and see how this new embarrassing event of yours is translated onto my manga!" Rohan says before he speedily walks away from the three of them. Joskue groans. "That guy can really be a pain sometimes...what did he mean by all that stuff about his manga?" josuke says turning to you. (I cant tell them about all the weird manga stuff!) you think as attempt to repress any possible blush and shrug. "Beats me that guy says a lot of stuff..." you say. "right..." Josuke says not fully buying it. "A-any way....i should be heading home..especially if they aren't going to let us into school..." You say to get away so you could have time to contemplate what you witnessed with Rohan.

His whole nature seemed to change once you asked Rohan about his manga. Was he really surprised that you read it at first? you sigh and imagine his soft expression of surprise that you saw before he forced it back into a smirk. (he was kinda cute..) you think, but then immediately get embarrassed at yourself for thinking of it. (No no! hes not cute! hes the bane of my existence! using me for content for his manga! Everything i do he immortalizes into his manga! its so embarrassing!) you think as you lay into bed. However you would be lying to yourself if you said you didn't look forward to seeing how your encounters with Rohan would be translated into manga. (Ill get the next issue! but only because i want to see what he does with what happened today!) you reason with yourself as you lay down.
