The Cuddling Beast

ARIEL'S POV

Alexander stepped back from the cliff.

He bent down a little, sliding me down.
Now I stood on my feet looking at the large creature standing in front of me.
He was still facing the dark creatures down there.

"TODAY WE ARE ALL GATHERED HERE FOR OUR ANNUAL MEETING. AND TODAY I HAVE A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE. THIS MAIDEN HERE WHO IS STANDING BESIDES ME IS A HUMAN. BUT SHE IS NOT ANY ORDINARY HUMAN. SHE IS SPECIAL AND I DON'T WANT ANYONE OF YOU MESSING WITH HER OR HER FAMILY. HER NAME IS ARIEL AND SHE IS FROM THE LILAC VALLEY TOWN. YOU WILL NOT HURT HER AND HER FAMILY. PROTECTING HER IS YOUR DUTY JUST LIKE YOU PROTECT ME. RESPECT HER JUST LIKE YOU RESPECT ME."
His voice was different. Dominating and authoritive.
As Alexander said this, all the creatures bowed before me.

Alexander looked at me.

"Ariel, this is my army. These are my people." He said with pride.

"You see the one at right corner, those are the warewolves and he is their Alpha king Ares. And the one after them are are vampires. And he is their king Edward.
After that are elfs, beasts and dragons." He said in his normal soft tone pointing to the creatures.
I nodded.
But why is he showing me all this? And why did he say I am special?

"A-Alexander, why did you say that I am special?" I asked.

He looked at me.

"You will no that once the right time comes." He said.

"MEETING DISMISSED ." He said.

After that he turned to me.

At the same time I yawned. It was late and I was already tired.

"You must be tired. Lets get you to the castle." He said before putting me on his back.

I made myself comfortable and laid my head near his neck.
I didn't know when my eyes closed and I drifted off to sleep.

I opened my eyes when I felt myself move.

I saw that Alexander was back in his normal form and he was carrying me in his arms on the staircase.

He looked at me and smiled.

He kicked open the door of his bedroom. 

He kept me slowly on the bed.
He removed my slippers and covered me with the sheets.

I saw him going towards another door which was there in the same room.

He came out wearing only his boxers. I blushed.

He came and slept besides me under the sheets.

I moved to the far edge of the bed so that there can be a little distance between us. 

But he had other plans.

He pulled me into his chest.

He wrapped his arm around my waist and my head laid on his chest while he caressed my cheeks.

My cheeks were red but thanks to him because he already switched off the lights and so he could not see it.

"I am sorry Princess." He said.

I smiled.

"Its ok Xander." I said.

"What did you just call me?"

"Xander." I said smiling.

He smiled at me and suddenly kissed my head.

"Sleep. You are tired. I will take you to the forest boundary in the morning." He said.

"Who knew that The beast likes to cuddle." I giggled.

He didn't say anything just tightened his hold on me and closed his eyes followed by me.
