Summer training camp began.
Bakugou was...nervous. Not that anyone could notice.
He walked away from the group as they chattered, it was night and there was a training excersice, but he saw blue flames.
So he went to check it out, seeing Dabi leaning against a tree, agitated. "Change of plans, kidnapping Todoroki not you, stay out of the way," Bakugou only nodded.
But...when it came time. He couldn't stay out of the way. Its Midoriyas fault, he knows it.
He shot an explosion at Todorokis feet, the teen jumping out of the way. "Bakugou-" his aggiated reply was cut short as Bakugou was grabbed instead.
"Kacchan!"
Nobody ran to save him.
Nobody expect for Midoriya.
But, he was too late.
