Fluttercord

Chapter Two

"Now we will need to get the following preparations for-" 'Blah, Blah, Blah, Bladity Blah....' Discord thought to himself as he followed princess Celestia around the room they where at and summoned anything the princess requested from him. An expression of boredom was shown all over his face. Everytime princess Celestia would turned back to look at him he would fake a smile and went along with what she said.

The only thing that lingered in Discords mind is the thought of meeting Fluttershy again. He couldn't stop thinking about her. If you haven't noticed Discord had super mega crush on Fluttershy ever since he became friends with her. He just didn't really want to confess his feelings to her because of the constant fear of her rejecting him. He was a aware of his appearance and knew that he wasn't the most handsome stallion in ponyville. The only thing he knew is that he looked like a monster....

"Discord is everything alright?" Discord snapped back into reality and looked at Celestias concerned face. He shook his head and said "No I'm fine!" Giving her a fake smile.

Celestia looked at him with confusion and concern "Are you sure?" Discord responded back "I assure you princess that I'm fine." Discord said while putting his paw to his chest.

"Alright," she said "Well I think we're done here you are dismissed, thank you Discord." She said "Are you sure? Was there anything else you wanted me to do?" He said a "No, your good to go," Celestia said "I'm sure you have other plans." She said with a smile and turned to walk the other way leaving Discord behind.

Discord didn't hesitate to leave. He immediately snapped his eagle claw and teleported outside of Fluttershy's cottage. He fixed himself up combing his mane back and spawning a small mirror to look at himself. Once he was done he summoned it away ,and held up his paw to knock on the wooden door until he immediately stopped. 

I didn't bring a gift!

Discord face palmed himself and started to think of a good gift for her. He tapped his clawed finger on his head while he thinks. "What to get her, what to get her?, what to-" that's when it occurred to discord the perfect gift for her. "But of course!"

With a snap of his fingers he spawned a black box with a velvet cushion and inside of the box was a golden necklace made out of the finest gold. Attached to it there was an oval shaped locket that had a beautifully detailed butterfly on top of it with small pink crystals over it.

'This will make a perfect gift!' Discord mentally said to himself as a smile crawled on his face by his own satisfaction. Discord raised his paw to knock on the cottage door until he stopped mid way and heard a small 'gasp'. He turned to slightly to the left and saw Fluttershy standing there with a look of shock on her radiant face.

'She hasn't changed a bit...'

Discord gaze upon her and saw that her  pink mane was being blown by the wind softly and her cyan colored eyes shone with beauty. He couldn't stop looking at her. She looked like a goddess below the radiant afternoon sun.

Fluttershy was just reading to herself until she realized that it was already getting late. Fluttershy placed the bookmark in the section she was reading and closed the book. It felt like she just woke up from a dream. She looked around at the beautiful scenery and took it in.

She soon realized that it was late and that Discord hasn't arrived yet. This filled her with bit of sadness knowing that he wasn't coming after all.

"He could've been busy today," Fluttershy said to herself but a small frown came upon her lips "Maybe work caught him first." She said again to herself with a bit of sadness coming from her voice. She sighted and got up from her spot. "Maybe next time..."

She trotted to the other side of her cottage to go back in but something caught her by surprise. 'Could it be?' Fluttershy thought to herself as she stopped dead in her tracks to see Discord the Lord of Chaos standing in front of her doorstep. He was about to knock but stopped as he caught her gasping and turned to see her standing frozen in her place.

She couldn't believe it. Had he really come back to see her? But of course be did he's standing right there!

Her eyes started water as simgle tear slid from her right cheek and her cyan eyes shining more than ever from the forming tears on her eyes. "Discord?" She said with more tears began to stream down her cream colored face as wind played with her pink mane.

"In the flesh," Discord said smiling at her tenderly and taking a small step forward "Its good to se-" Discord started before Fluttershy ran towards him and shouting his name "Discord!" With tears happiness on her face.

She flew up to him and hugged him tightly as if it her last day in this world.
"Oh Discord how much I've missed you" she said with such joy.

Discord still stunned by her sudden action but soon came back to reality and hugged her back tenderly. "So did I." He responded as he hugged her closer to him "I though you weren't going to come back." Fluttershy said as he let more tears roll down fer face and soak Discords chocolate brown fur.

"Now, why wouldn't I visit my best friend?" Discord said playfully as he pulled her away and cupped her cheek with his paw while wiping away some of her tears from her cheek. "Your right I'm sorry..." Fluttershy said a bit embarrassed as she looked away while giving him a small smile "Don't be sorry." Discord said while placing his paw under her chin and turned her to face him. He gave her a tender smile and she returned it back.

They hugged once more but this one seemed to feel longer than the last. Discord didn't want to let go but he knew that it would soon feel awkward if he didn't. So he let her go and looked at her small form as she began to wipe her tears from her cheeks with her hooves. He offered her a handkerchief  and she gladly took it and wiped her remaining tears.

"Maybe we should head inside." Fluttershy said as she gave him his handkerchief "No you can keep it," Discorr said as he gently pushed her hoove with the handkerchief back to her "Thank you Discord." She said as he took it back and smiled. Discord returned the smile.

"Now, let's get ourselves inside." He said as he gently opened her door for her and said "Ladies first." She smiled at him and walked inside as he followed and closed the door behind them.
