Caleigh's POV

As we pull up to the school, all of the cheerleaders are sitting around the picnic tables that are set up outside. We always have a flash mob on game days before first period.

Once they see that their captain and co captain has arrived, we all get in our positions on the school steps. The entire school is crowded around the front of the school getting ready to watch.

'Hear we go... 1, 2, 3..'

"Stallion fans, in the stands, get up now, and clap your hands!" I call the chant loudly. The entire squad shouts it the next time. And the time after that is followed by the entire school.

The moves between each words are simple, but I have to make sure that we are sharp and crisp. We're going up against our rival squad tonight. "If you're a Stallion," clap, clap "and you're proud" clap, clap "yell blue," clap, clap "yell it out."

We continue on with cheers like this until we hear the bell. Before everyone dismisses, I call everyone's attention. "Can I get everyone's attention please?" The crowd quickly reforms, and I keep speaking. "Tonight is our homecoming game. I really encourage every one of you to come out and support your football players tonight. Thank you and have a great day!"

With that we pack up all of our equipment, and take it over to the new gym. I make sure everything is loaded into the locker room, and turn out the light. Claire and I lock arms and begin walking to class. I have history first, while she has math. "Are you excited for tonight?" I ask Claire.
"Yeah. It's Mike's first time being out on the field in awhile because of his Beta training. He's the starting quarterback."
"That's good. He deserves it. He's been working very hard, and he's gonna be a great Beta."

I arrive at my classroom, so we say our goodbyes until lunch. Sadly, we don't have any classes together until after lunch. I walk into Mrs. Welberch's classroom, and can already feel a headache starting to form. The lady has the voice of a dying hawk. I'm already finished with all of my work this school year. The only reason I come to school is because of cheer.

I have to finish my work early, just incase I have to leave school for a long period of time, due to my royal duties. So I just sit in the back of the class, and listen to things I already understand.

"Does anyone know when the Hunters War took place?" Mrs. Welberch asks the class. No one was answering her question, so I answered it for them, "1749 through 1752." The teacher looked back at me, smiled, and bowed her head as a sign of acknowledgement.

After a painful three hours of sitting in classrooms, learning absolutely nothing I didn't already know, it was time for lunch. I head to my locker, grab my bag of food, and head to the cafeteria. The entire cheerleading team has three tables pushed together in the cafeteria. We all talk and laugh about anything and everything really.

"Guys, I heard that the Alpha of the Blue Ridge Pack is coming to the game tonight." Cassidy tells us. My eyes widen. Why would the Alpha of the largest pack in the United States, besides us, come to our football game?

The table was buzzing with rumors and secrets, but I was concerned about why he was coming here.

'Father?'
'Yes'
'Why is the Alpha of Blue Ridge coming to the game tonight?'
'He has a meeting scheduled with me tomorrow, so he is driving up tonight. I guess he just likes football, and never has time to go watch one."
'Oh okay. I'll see you when I get home then, dad. Love you'
'Love you too, Princess'

That explains a lot. When I come to I see all of the girls staring at me. "What?" "The bell rang and we couldn't get you to snap out of anything." Claire tells me. "Oh. I was mind linking my father." She nods okay, and we grab our stuff.

After the last bell of the day rings, all of the cheerleaders meet on the football field. We have to rep our halftime number a few times before we can go home. As head cheerleader, I look after all practices after learning our numbers. The coach teaches the number in two days, and the other three days it is up to me to perfect it.

"Guys! Stop!" I shout. The lifts aren't working right in our routine, and I'm getting frustrated. "Let me show you how the lift is done, again."

All of the cheerleaders disperse in front of me. I keep two males with me, and I begin counting. "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. Hit. Hit. Hit. Hit. Jump up. Lock your core. Scorpion and tuck out!" I yell as I'm flying through the air in the lift. "When coming down out of the lift, make sure you flyers are sinking with the bases. If not, you're either gonna hurt yourself, hurt someone else, of screw it up. Now run it again!" The guys drop me back onto my feet, and I walk back out in front of everyone.

The next run through everyone got right, so I made them do one more run, but this time, I done it with them. I love being center flyer. I love the feeling of flying. The higher up I can get, the more I love it. I might be the Princess, but I love dance and cheer.

"Alright guys! That's what I'm talking about! If we can do exactly what we just done tonight, then we have this thing in the bag. Now go home, relax for a bit, and I'll see you at 6! Good job today guys!" The whole squad cheers, and everyone loads up. I have to go to dance practice now. Claire always goes with me, even though she never dances. She says she loves watching me.

Once we get to the locker rooms, I change into my dance clothes, and head out to my car. I wait on Claire to get back from going to see Michael. She always goes and sees him for a few minutes after practice.

After about ten minutes of waiting, she walks out of the building. Once she gets in the car, I pull out of the parking lot. The dance studio is only about five minutes from the high school.

We get to the studio, and I rush into the building. I reserved a private room, just like always on game days. I come inside, and take off my cheer shoes, and put on my jazz. Contemporary is my favorite style of dance, with Hip Hop being a close second.

My solo this week is about being under so much pressure growing up, that you forgot to just be a kid, which is what my story was. As I'm dancing I can feel myself letting go and becoming one with the music. That's why I love dance. I can show the side of me that no one else sees.

The music stops, and I'm standing with my towards the ground. Just breathing. Until I hear clapping, and remember that Claire is here. "I love watching you dance. You put so much emotion into your dancing." "Thanks Bells." I look down at my watch and see that it's 4:45. "Come on. We've gotta head home." So we grab our bags, and head home to get ready for the big game.
