Caleigh's POV

Once we arrive home, I kick my shoes off at the front door, ran and threw my uniform into the washer, ran to my room, and hop into the shower. We have forty five minutes to get ready before we have to leave. Claire has already ran to her room to get ready too. I quickly mind linked my mom to throw my uniform into the dryer when it got ready.

'Mom? Could you throw my uniform in the dryer when it gets ready please?'
'Sure hun.'

I quickly wash my hair and my body, knowing I don't have that much time to get ready. I then grab my razor, and carefully, but quickly, shave my legs. I turned the water off, grabbed my towel, and ran to my closet. I threw on a t-shirt and shorts to wear while I was waiting on my uniform.

Just as I plugged in my curling iron, Claire came barging into my room with a curling iron of her own. "Let's put some music on!" Claire shouted. She's always excited on game days. I giggled and walked over to my stereo. 'I lived' by OneRepublic was the first song that came on.

I quickly pulled my hair into a high ponytail, and began curling my hair. Neither one of us new the verses, but when the chorus came, we were screaming it to the tops of our lungs.

I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places, the things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived...

The song was over, and we both started laughing at each other. There was a knock on my door, and I answered it with a 'come on in!' It was mom bringing our uniforms. We quickly changed and headed downstairs. I was shocked to go downstairs to see my entire family dressed in jerseys.

"Why are you guys dressed for the game?" I questioned. "We aren't gonna miss your last homecoming halftime show!" My dad exclaimed, as if it was self explanatory. I just smiled and hugged them. "Let's go! We've got a game to go see!" My mom joked.

They all piled up in their car. They were going to pick up Claire's parents. They would sit in the seats we have at the top of the bleachers. My mom and dad have thrones up there, while the Beta family have soft seated chairs.

We pulled up to the school, and we took off running to the new gym. "We only have three minutes to get there!" I yelled to Claire. We looked at each other, and smirked. "1..2..3!" Claire yelled, and we both took off using our advanced speed.

I came to a stop in front of the gate at the front of the sidewalk leading into the gym, but Claire didn't stop soon enough, and ran right into the fence, getting thrown on the ground. I bursted our laughing, causing the entire squad to come outside and see Claire on the ground, causing them to start laughing also.

I wiped my eyes, and offered her my hand to pull her up. She glared at me for laughing at her, but took my hand regardless. We all walked inside the gym, with a few girls still snickering at her.

"Alright squad! Huddle up!" I yelled to them. "Flyers, I need you to make sure you are pointing your toes, and locking your core on your way up into the lifts! I don't want any of you falling and getting hurt. Bases, I need you to remember to stand with your feet shoulder width apart when preparing for the lifts. Also remember that if your flyer does happen to fall, you do everything in your power to catch them, as long as you don't hurt yourself in the process. Everyone, remember when the bases sink, the flyers sink, and when the flyers rise, the bases rise!" I run through all the things we fixed yesterday with the again. "Now let's go out there, and beat the crap out of this other squad!" I yell.

We all run out to the home side field goal to do the spirit line. I start the chants by calling the beginning phrase. "All the way... wolverines!" The entire crowd begins cheering with us, and before we know it, we here the drum roll. As soon as the fight song starts with the roll off, we begin running to the sidelines. Right in front of all the football players. Claire and I both take off doing cartwheels, roundups, and front flips all the way to the side lines.

As soon as the band does the second roll off to go back into the fight song, we begin the cheer routine to it. I look over right as the roll of begins and count, "5..6..7..8!" We all start jumping in our spots for four counts, and then we start hitting the routine. Hard.

I look up and see my mom and dad watching me with smiles on their faces. When I first asked to join cheer, they were flabbergasted. I was the princess of the werewolves, and they didn't see the point of me doing it. But when I told them that I was trying out for captain, and pointed out that it would be a great learning lesson to looking after a bunch of people, they agreed. Over the past 6 years of me doing cheer, they have grown to love it as much as I have. Dad says "as long as you're happy, I'm happy."

I look out at the crowd, and lock eyes with the Alpha of the Blue Ridge pack. For some reason, I wanted to empress him. I looked up at the clock on the scoreboard, and looked over at the squad. "Guys! It's time to head to the gym to get ready for the show!" I called to all of them.

Here we go...
