" Marcus !" I yelled

My dad called me earlier , he told me that I will get married with the woman he chooses , because I still didn't find the woman I told him I'd find , I asked him to give me a week and I will go meet him with the woman I will get married with , the first time my dad told me that I need to get married before taking over the company , I felt like if I wasn't a womaniser , if I was a nice man , I'd have gotten the company , but i can't change the past , no one can change it , but I also know that I can change the future

" what is it ? " I looked up to see Marcus , a concerned look on his face , Marcus and Sean are the only persons that understand me , they tell me when I'm wrong , and they are by my side when I'm in need of help , I can't imagine how my life would be without them " cancel all my meetings for today "

" is everything alright ? Are you okay ? "

" my dear father needs to stop all this , or else I'm not working here anymore , this is my life and if he thinks that I'm gonna bring shame to the company because of my past then I will not stay here anymore " I explained standing up " John, I'm sure if you talk to him he will understand, tell him that you had changed , tell him you are not who you were in the past , time changes and so do people " he said " I can't imagine being a personal assistant of a grumpy old man , c'mon you know I love you , and you also know you love me "

Marcus know very right how to lighten my mood , whenever I'm feeling down he would make me laugh and smile

He placed his hands on his chest and mocked hurt " we both know you do " he smirked and patted my back " just talk to him John , tell him what you feel , you have to speak up because you want the company, you can't let it go away "

" screw you! Since when did you become so wise and motivational ?"

He laughed and I laughed along " I'm always wise and motivational bro , you just didn't see it "

" what's going on here ?" We both snapped our heads to the door that we haven't heard being opened " Sean! Man you are always in time , we gotta go to father's " he nodded

I was so glad that the most loved and trusted persons in my life worked with me " by the way , how is Lily and Jessica? " I asked " they are all good "

" alright let's go now " I said as the three of us left my office , Marc went to his office before wishing me good luck with my father , while me and Sean made our way to the car in which we'll be going to my father's mansion

After a 45 min drive to my parenrs' house , we finally got there " you can leave Sean, I don't know what will happen while I talk to him " I told him as I opened the car's door

" are you sure man ? "

I nodded reassuringly and so did he , after watching Sean drive away I went straight to the huge metal double doors and knocked

Stephanie greeted as she opened she door " oh my dear John, it's been a long since you last visited , how have you been ?" She said as she hugged me tightly

" I've been alright and you Steph ? " I hugged her back, I would lie to myself if I said I didn't miss her , the food she makes and the sweet words she say , I missed all of those " I've been great "

" your father is in his office room , and your mother is out , but she will be here soon " she said and she smiled , I nodded and went to my father's office knocking nervously , after hearing a deep and cold ' come in ' from inside the office , I opened the door gently and went inside , I was so nervous about what would my father's reaction be when I tell him about my decision , my father David Cialfi was as careless as I was , probably more than I was , he was a cold man that everyone feared , I still can't believe the fact that he loved my mother , Stacey . She was a lovely woman , she was the only one who cared about me , and loved me , she always tells me that my father loves me and cares about me just like any father would to his son but if that was true then my father did an excellent job at hiding his feelings , mom was the only person he showed his love to

I cleared my throat as he looked up from his laptop , he looked confused to find me in his mansion while I was supposed to be in the company " I came to talk to you " I started , he nodded and went back to working on his laptop " and my mother "
He nodded again " I hope it's about your marriage , did you choose the girl you will get married with ? Because the girl I chose for you is always there if you didn't find one " He said still occupied with his work

" when will my mother be back ? " I asked as I looked at my watch , mom would be here considering Stephanie told me that when I got here a couple minutes ago

" she is on her way here " he said , I nodded and stood up making my way to the door " I hope you know that I'm very serious about the situation " he said , I clenched and unclenched my fists " I am serious as well " I said and left his room , I needed coffee and Stephanie made good coffee, just the thought of coffee made me think about Christine , her big and beautiful brown eyes that looked shiny whenever she was angry , her pink lips that formed the most beautiful smile that I've ever seen and the cutest pout ever , just the mere thought of Christine had the ability to make me smile , as I made my way to the kitchen , Stephanie was there , she was a middle aged woman that worked for my father ever since I was born . Although mom was a great mother , she was always busy with her job , as a fashion designer , so Stephanie was like a mother to me " hello old man , what made you smile like that ?" She asked with a knowing smile , I laughed " some girl " knowing that Stephanie was like my mother i told her everything

" ahh some girl , this is the first I see my boy smiling because of a girl , what's her name ?"
