Chapter Seven - An unexpected trip

Christine pov

" hurry up ! " Amelia urged as I made my way to the bathroom, to shower because I had to get ready , we were meeting up with her friends and we were going to an amusement park , as childish as it sounds for some people , I love going there and I love having fun there , and I will never be embarrassed about that , after showering and freshening up, I made my way to my room to pick an outfit , I picked up a very comfy outfit for a fun day which consisted of my black high waisted jeans , a white top that had a narrow collar with cap short sleeves , I had no attempt to go to the Roller coaster with my hair going in all the existing directions, so I braided it , well , Amelia did , I also had no intention of caking my face in make up, not like I wear make up daily but I always stick with natural

I took my backpack purse and put things i might need in the trip today , I took my phone , money , lots of money because I know I will buy ice cream and go to every place I see in the park , I took gum and other girl necessities, after finishing , I went to the living room to find Amelia typing on her phone while blushing , by her looks she looked ready , with her white jean shorts and black t-shirt , and the jean jacket that was wrapped around her waist , she looked stunning, her hair was in a pony tail " Christine , I think you might want to take a jacket with you , we will be back here late at night and I'm sure it will be cold outside " she stopped typing as she put her phone in her purse and looked at me sheepishly , I put on my white sneakers and looked at her suspiciously

" I know I was thinking the same , I'll be right back " I said as I ran to my room and browsed through my clothes and found a white cotton jacket that looked so warm , I smiled and placed it in the middle of my arm while I made my way out , Amelia was putting on her shoes and proceeded to do the same " c'mon they are already here "

" are Elizabeth and Stella already down ? And why didn't they come up ?"

" no silly , Elizabeth and Stella will wait for us there , they are heading there first "

I looked at her dumbfounded, if the girls aren't the ones to pick us up then who will ?

" Marc and John will join us , sorry I didn't tell you "

Great ! just great ! John will be here too

I glared at her , she nervously fidgeted with her fingers " why didn't you tell me ? "

" Elizabeth and Stella told me they will be there first , so we needed to take a cab , when I talked to Marc he told me that he will come and he will bring John so it's like .. " she blushed

" like what ? " I crossed my arms and stomped me foot on the ground , she was blushing and I was wondering why

" like a ... date " she said and looked down , my heart instantly warmed , so this cute couple will be on a date today , I smiled at her " I'm sorry if you are not comfortable , but you can avoid John if you want to , just stick with Elizabeth or Stella " she said , the blush still plastered on her cheeks and I shook my head , as much as I hated being in the same place with John for a whole day , I wanted to have fun at the park , oh and did I mention how the girls love flirting ? That's just excellent

" don't worry about me , you make sure to have fun with Marcus today "I hugged her tightly and kissed her cheek

John will be there , and so will Elizabeth and Stella, Amelia with Marcus which leaves me alone

I sighed heavily as we made our way out the apartment and towards Marcus' car

John pov

" alright ! " my father finalised

I looked up at him with wide , surprised , shocked and happy eyes , I couldn't believe what was happening " you will take over the company but if I ever read any article , or see any image of you and your one night stands then you will be fired , and I'll make sure that you won't find a job in this country " my father threatened and I nodded quickly

I'm free now , there is no need now for marriage with any girl that I don't like " I will not disappoint you !" I said with confidence and stood up , I went out and found Stephanie in the kitchen making dinner " guess what Steph? " I said and made my way to her " what is it that you are so happy about ? Did you ask the girl out and she said yes ? " the smirk plastered on her face made me want to wipe it off her " no " I said dryly

Then I chuckled " I'm free !" I said and she smiled widely , I hugged her tightly, enveloping her small figure as she hugged me back " congrats my dear son " she congratulates me and I grinned " thanks Steph "

I looked at my watch and saw that it was getting late " I should probably go now "

" why don't you have dinner with your parents ? "

" maybe next time Steph " I said and made my way to my dad's driver , he took me to my house and after I had dinner , I made my way to my room , I took a long warm shower , which was soon followed by a good and deep sleep

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing loudly , I picked up and cursed under my breath , it was the weekend for God's sake, who in their right minds would call me and interrupt my amazing dream with Christine whe-

" hey John , get up, we have a trip to go on " I blinked

" last time I checked it's the weekend , and I don't remember planning a trip to go to , now leave me alone because yesterday I got my damn freedom and n-"

" Christine will be there " he cutt me off , the bastard , he knew how to get on my nerves

" screw you Marcus ! " I shouted and ended the call , having no intention to hear his voice anymore , I groaned loudly , at least I will meet her after this amazing dream I had about her , I feel like I've missed her , I missed drinking her coffee, i missed seeing her smiles and pouts , hearing her voice

I smiled to myself as I went to the bathroom , I brushed my teeth and washed my face , making my way to my closet , I didn't want to wear any damn suits for a trip , I didn't even know where we will go , but i didn't mind as long as I get to be with Christine, even if we don't talk to each other , seeing her is enough for me

I wore a white t-shirt and white jeans , along with my black denim jacket and black shoes , I fixed my hair , I didn't even bother make myself breakfast , but I knew I needed to hire a cook , because I've fired all the maids before , I sighed heavily as the memories overflowed my mind , I shook my head to rid it of all the unwanted thoughts , I went to the fridge , I found some bananas , so I took two bananas and made my way to the front door , I didn't forget to bring my phone and card , along with my keys

Getting in my car , I smiled to myself as excitement filled my body , I will see Christine

All my happiness and excitement vanished when I realised that Christine might have a boyfriend , if not then she might have a crush on an other guy , I'm sure she hates me especially after I was so harsh with her last time , I told her I didn't care but I cared , and that's why I followed her until she got to her apartment .. great .. now I sound like a stalker ... damn ! Someone slap me !

Snap out of it John! You don't even like her , then why do you care if she hates you or not ?

Then I started the engine and made my way to Amelia's place , where they will all be waiting for me to join them , I wondered what will Christine's reaction be

when she sees me , will she be happy ?

Or will she pretend to be sick so that she doesn't go ?

I wished it was the first option ...
