Sighing, you leaned against your apartment door. It was another long shift at the hotel. Lately, you had been feeling that your job was sucking the life out of you. Squeezing your eyes shut, you let your head fall back against the door with a soft thud as you let out a frustrated huff.

Groaning, you pushed off of the door heading to your room so you could change out of your work clothes. Just as you had sat down, there was a soft knock on the door.

Opening the door you felt ice course through your veins. "May?"

Smiling softly, she greeted. "Hello, Y/N."

Stepping aside you let her walk in. "Can I get you something to drink?"

"No thank you. I won't be long." She responded softly, taking a seat on your couch.

May had been over to your apartment more times than you could count. Sometimes it was Peter business, the last few months May had been over for girls bonding time.

"I assume you know why I'm here." She stated.

Letting out a shaky breath you questioned. "Is Peter hurt?"

"No nothing like that...This visit." She frowned. "He...He misses you, Y/N."

"May...." You attempted. "If he wanted to see me he would."

"Normally I would agree with you." She reasoned. "But this is Peter. He's anything but normal."

Pondering what she said you didn't reply.

"He's busy doing Spider-man things." She countered. "He goes out and saves the city and passes out from exhaustion. Peter barely has time for anything else."

The more you heard May argue for Peter, the more you knew she had a point.

Placing a hand on your knee, she gave it a light reassuring squeeze. "I have to get going, but please think about what I said."

The next few nights you laid awake, staring at the ceiling as your mind pondered everything that May had said. Sleep was finally on the brink of overwhelming you, turning on your side you shut your eyes. The swift sound of your window opening and closing filled the room as a pair of strong arms wrapped around your waist.
