Destination Fear - Dakota Laden

The day went quickly,you could say it was just a normal day but the feeling of disappointment was lingering. Did you really love Dakota? This feeling was new to you,having such protective friends meant that you hadn't had a boyfriend or even a crush,or so you thought. The day was filled with you all sat on the RV,Tanner and Alex whining about wanting fresh air and Chelsea ringing her mom still confused about what happened the previous night. Dakota was being as cocky as usual,giving clues to your next location,letting you all guess. Quickly time was up, you stood outside the large abandoned hotel,your camera cases in your right hand as you hold onto your jacket. You hear the gasps and wows of the others as you all make your way into the building,you trailed behind worried with what tonight would bring.

You sit on the group of a grimey toilet. You and Alex had been paired together so as you sit at either side of the toilet. Alex speaks to the camera. The other 3 were a floor down,investigating a bedroom that was rumoured to have seen murders of many people. You look around the room and groan leaning your head back on the wall untill your ovilus goes off "female" you both look at the machine as you then look up at Alex "Hey al I think they are speaking to you" you say causally as he smacks your arm "Prick" he whispers as the ovulus pipes back up "cactus" is says as you choke out a laugh. You and Alex stand up as you brush yourselves off,going towards the door,Alex speaks to the camera "Okay Guys,we have a very intelligent spirit here,we're going to go to the others and see if they have got any-" he is cut off by the door infront of you slamming shut. For a few seconds you both stand just staring at the door in shock.you notice the rooms atmosphere get a bit heavier as you try to open the door,only to feel as if someone is holding it shut. You look back at Alex and roll your eyes laughing. Putting your camera down you continue laughing "Okay assholes,Dakota..Tanner open the door" you say smiling. You hear a speak into the walkie talkie "Yo Alex Lizzy we are on our way up to you guys" Tanner says as you let go of the handle,turning around in disbelief. "If he is there...who's there" you whisper as you point to the door. You give it one last push as the door swings open. "You got me pushing it on camera right?" Alex nods as he stares at the door as you both slowly walk out looking around. You hear footsteps walk around the corner by the end of the corridor away from where the others would soon be approaching. "Hey stay here, keep an eye out for the others..I think someone's up here" you say as you turn on your camera running down the hallway to the footsteps. Walking down the corridor the footsteps sounded to be coming from "HEY we are doing an investigation,you can't be in here!" You shout,looking into each room. You spent a while checking each room, confused you turn around to see a dark mist by the door you had just come through. You feel your heart drop as it disappears. You suddenly hear rustling around in the room beside you as you feel yourself tense up as you scan the area with your camera. You hear the noise in the room getting closer and closer untill you feel a hand touch your shoulder,about to screen you hear "Shhh keep quiet" you stare into the room,your body tense all over. "Who are you" Dakota shouts,his voice sounding agitated and deep. Another bang is heard in the room.Dakota pulls out his walkie "Everyone to base" he says quickly before grabbing you and pushing you along with him as he walks to the base himself,his stride was fast and long as you struggled to keep up. The whole walk was silent,tension thick in the air as Dakotas face stays tense. You wonder if he was mad about the choice of location or maybe he was just scared. You let these thoughts flutter until you both enter the base and you freeze. "Are you fucking stupid dude?!" Dakota shouts loudly towards the others. the now bright lights showing his balled up fists and straight posture. He storms up towards Alex untill Tanner holds him by him. "You let her wander off!" He exclaims waving his right arm around. "Woah okay we need to calm down" chelsea says standing between the two. You finally snap back into reality and run up the the group "Chelsea's right lets just calm down" you hear Dakota Scoff as Alex looks around frantically for an easy escape "We wouldn't be calm if something had happened to you" Dakota begins shouting again as tanners hands hold his upper biceps tightly in place. "I tell you every time we fucking walk into these places,keep your eyes on Lizzy" he shouts at Alex who is now looking down "She just ran off and.." he tries to explain but is cut off with Dakotas loud voice "Then you go with her" he shakes his head and pushes himself out of tanners grasp, walking out of the door to get fresh air. "Jesus does he remember he isn't your mom?" Chelsea says shaking her head and rubbing Alex's arm. "Alex I'm sorry if I would of knew you would of got in trouble I would of stayed by you" you say looking down. You feel two arms wrap around you as Alex's head balances on yours "Hey...it's fine" the tone of his voice soothing as you hear the door open and hear a quiet voice "Yo Alex,I'm sorry bro I don't know what came over me,That was uncalled for..let's just draw rooms for us to sleep and end this.." Dakota rubs his neck as you pull away from Alex seeing Dakota looking quite shy. Alex lets out a light laugh as he nods "dude it's out of character for you..I get it" you watch everyone get closer as Dakota begins writing rooms down. You notice him only write four rooms,you frown as Tanner videos the group and Dakotas actions. Putting them into a hat as he speaks to the camera "okay so I've wrote four rooms,me Chelsea tanner and Alex are gonna take turns choosing" you look at all of them in confusion as he continues speaking "Lizzy is going to stay with me tonight for reasons" you just raise your eyebrows. "Do I get a say in this?" You laugh lightly and without taking his eyes off the camera he says "Not really no". You scoff as they pull out a piece of paper each. You follow Dakota to your new sleeping spot,lightly agitated they had not let you get involved. Dakota sets up the bed as you place the cameras around the bedroom you were staying in. Turning around you scoff again,showing how you were annoying "nice one idiot you brought one bed.." you say walking up to him. "Not like we are going to be sleeping, anyway you lay down I'll sit here" he says calmly sitting on the floor. You shrug laying down,your head laying on the edge. Dakotas eyes scan the room as if he was making sure no one was there. You stare at the back of his head. His silver chain,sparkling lightly in the moonlight that came through the window. You lift your arm slowly, placing it on his back,he flinches lightly as you trace patterns on his back.Slowly you feel him calm down. His eyes still scanning the room,every little bang his shoulders would tense back up. Slowly you began to drift off to the sounds of his slow breaths. Suddenly there's a bang which sounds a bit closer and less natural than the others,Dakota moves into a crouched position as he scans the room with a torch. A few minutes pass,the silence some what more comforting. Dakota settles back down,you wonder if it was the right time to mention why he got so angry with Alex. As your eyes slowly drift off you watch Dakota turn his torso,as he leans on the side of the bed, slowly his hand reaches up and strokes the hair from the from of your face. The moonlight shone on his eyes as they scan your face. You watch as he climbs up onto his knees quickly,kissing the top of your head. "Dakota?" You mumble half asleep. You get a quiet hum of a response as he peers down at you. "Why did you freak out today?", you watch as he sighs ,sitting back down but to the side so he can face you and look around the room. "I just don't want you hurt liz" he says quietly,playing with his fingers as he looks down at them. "I'm older now Dak..you don't need to hide me from things,I'm a big girl,I grew up" you say quietly as you watch him scoff "I know you have grown up" he rolls his eyes as he stays looking down. "What's that meant to mean", you say as you sit up on your elbows. "don't you get it lizzy?" He says now looking up at you. "How I am always there when you need me... the incident at the park..."He runs his fingers through his hair angrily as he looks around "for god sake,even now I'm sat guarding you because the thought of you getting hurt is unbearable" you just stare at the boy in Front of you who was pouring his thoughts out to you. "What are you trying to say Dak" you say carefully as you look at the boy quietly. With a sigh the older boy looks up at you slowly "I really fucking like you Lizzy...and not like a sister,you are fucking incredible"
