Unheard of, Strange.

Noah feels like he is in a daze as he drove back home. If he even believed for a moment he could avoid thinking about Nadine Shaw, he was mistaken. Because she's everywhere. On the radio, on his social media channels, on the television and even this morning, on the news, in his mind.

The reception towards the news was a mix. Some found the whole situation humorous like James Corden who made multiple jokes on air. Some hosts weren't pleasant saying that there must be something wrong with Nadine for them to go to such desperate lengths to secure an in-law.

Even problematic celebrities found something to say about it on twitter.

Everyone, it seems, had an opinion on Nadine and her cat.

Noah was the sort of man to focus and fixate on little things. Before he got himself in the car on his drive to North Carolina, he was searching for one thing.

Nadine's cat.

A picture, anything to show what her feline looks like but much to his surprise, for news articles circulating about a missing cat, none of them actually showed or described what Nadine's cat looks like.

And Noah, and not for the first time since he left school, he's thinking about her.

Nadine has always been very beautiful. He still remembers her, and sometimes, when he thinks he's met someone pretty, he'd recall Nadine's finely shaped face, the warmth in her eyes and remember that Nadine exists, somewhere.

There's traffic on his way to North Carolina.

Which isn't entirely surprising, it's the weekend, and North Carolina is a city in it's own way.

But what's uncomfortable is that the traffic continues all the way to his home.

It becomes apparent where the traffic leads up to and it's to Nadine Shaw's fortress of a house.

To go to Noah's house, there's no need for him to drive past Nadine Shaw's home. He made it a habit to do so, and also, today he's curious to catch a glimpse of it post the news. He's never seen anything interesting when he's driven past her house, but there's always hope.

Today, he's not the only one curious, there's a long line of people lining up, all as curious as he is. It makes him regret choosing to drive past her house.

It's a slow drive past her house, or the lot of land designated to be her house he's recognised since his schooling years. Boys use to go outside to try and vie for her attention. It's probably why they built the large walls to hide the home inside. The walls made her home look like a fortress and right now, with the prying eyes of the media swarming at the front of her house, it feels more of a blessing.

If Nadine hoped for the walls to deter the media, she'd have been disappointed. The media had marked their spot on the pathway outside and looked to be broadcasting what is going on.

Hopefully, they won't stay there for long.

Noah isn't going to lie. Yearly, every time in his trips to North Carolina, to his home. He'd secretly hoped to see Nadine.

He's still not sure if he is going to help her find her cat.

The money is good, but he's not motivated by it. Noah is just itching to see her. He didn't want to marry her. No. He doubts that is what she would want, to be married to him. No, not when she's so pretty that even Chris Hemsworth admitted he might be interested on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Chris Hemsworth even joked about helping her find her cat.

Ugh.

If, by some stroke of luck, he manages to catch her cat. Wouldn't Nadine be upset? Could this be some elaborate ploy to get noticed by her favourite celebrity?

No - that's Clover.

Still, the question bugged him. Why would she do this? Why would she go along with this desperate ruse?

Admittedly, Noah has never spoken to. His crush for her had always been something distant. Not within sight, perhaps a little out of mind. As he grew up, Noah would readily admit he's put Nadine on a pedestal, that his interest in her could be completely made up by his desire to see her, his interest in her.

Now, it looks like she's managed to capture the worlds attention, and Noah isn't sure he might like Nadine very much if that's her intention.
