Prophecy

I woke up staring at a wooden ceiling. I sat up and tried to get my surroundings.

"Good morning," I heard a voice in front of me. I looked to see Thalia looking at me. I rubbed my eyes.

"What'd I miss? And what's going on?" I asked. I looked to see the ping-pong table. I was in the Big House. And the senior counselors were surrounding it. They were holding a council meeting. I saw Percy, Grover, Beckendorf, Silena, Zoe and Bianca and the Stolls with Chiron and Mr. D at the head of the table. I wasn't a senior counselor but I had part of the Oracle so it was mandatory for me to come as well."Oh. The prophecy right?" I asked. Thalia nodded.

"This is pointless," Zoe said crossing her arms. "There is no time for talk. Our goddess is in trouble. The Hunters must leave immediately,"

"Where?" Chiron asked.

"West," Bianca and I answered. We looked at each other. And I was surprised at how much Bianca changed. She had her dark hair braided so her face was more visible. She had freckles over her nose. And her black eyes reminded me of someone important but I couldn't place the name. "You heard Claira. Five shall go west to the goddess in chains. We can get five Hunters and go," Bianca said.

(I'm going to be using Zoe's exact dialogue from the book because it is the most important thing about her)"Yes. Artemis is being held hostage! We must find her and free her!" Zoe agreed.

"You're missing something as usual," Thalia interjected. "Campers and Hunters combined prevail,"

"No! The Hunters do not need thy help," Zoe said.

"Your. Nobody has said 'thy' in about three hundred years Zoe. Get with the times," Thalia grumbled. Zoe hesitated.

"Yerrr. We do not need yerrr help," Zoe changed her sentence. Thalia rolled her eyes.

"Forget it," she mumbled. So we established that against our will Hunters and campers must cooperate. And the Winter Solstice was also coming up. Another Olympian council meeting. Zoe said that Artemis must be present because she was one of the stronger arguments for defeating Kronos.

"Now we must decide on who goes on the quest," Chiron sighed.

"Three and two," Percy suddenly said. We all looked at him. "We're supposed to have five. Three Hunters and two campers. That's more than fair," he reasoned. Zoe and Thalia exchanged looks.

"This monster-the bane of Olympus. I have hunted at Lady Artemis' side for hundreds of years yet I have no idea what this beast might be," Zoe said. All eyes landed on Dionysus.

"Well don't look at me. I'm a young god remember? I don't keep track of all the ancient monsters and dusty titans,"

"Chiron you don't have any ideas about the monster?" I looked at Chiron.

"I have some ideas none of them good. And none of them quite make sense. For instance Typhon. He really was a bane of Olympus. Or the sea monster Keto. But if either of these were sitting we would know. They are ocean monsters the size of skyscrapers. Your father, Poseidon, would already have sounded the alarm. I'm afraid this monster is more elusive. Perhaps even more powerful," Chiron explained.

"That's some serious danger you're facing. It sounds like at least two of the five people are gonna die," Connor Stoll said definitely lightening the mood.

"One shall be lost in the land without rain. I'd stay out of the desert if I were you," Beckendorf suggested. We all mumbled in agreement.

"The Titan's Curse must one withstand. What does that mean?" I saw Chiron and Zoe share nervous glances. But they didn't say anything.
