Friend, have you heard of the trolls in the wood?
They sing and play around a large bonfire
Trolls usually ate whatever they could
But one small snack quenches their hunger so direThe big toes of plump little girls and boys
Hunting at night with arms at the ready
Kids in their villas with their shiny toys
Trolls watch them play, keeping arrows steadyOnce a small child strays away from the pack
An arrow hits the babe's foot quite quick
The trolls rush the toes home for a fresh snack
If it's not fresh you could become sickSalted and sauced, the steaming toes are tasty
Savor your toes! And never be hasty
