Chapter 25

Note: Although this is the last chapter I wrote for this story 3 years ago, it's definitely not the end!!

My eyes slowly fluttered open as I awoke from my sleep; it was without a doubt that my morning had started off splendidly as I was instantly greeted by the sight of my incredulously beautiful boyfriend; his captivating mercury eyes were heavy-lidded which gave him a surreal and dreamy mien, his vibrant crimson hair was tousled in the most attractive way possible from sleep, and an indolent, lopsided yet winsome smirk was playing on his soft lips as faint rays of sunlight seeped into the room, making him seem as though he was glowing. It was undeniably one of the most wondrous views that I had ever gotten the pleasure to witness; Karma was such a beautiful being, inside and out, and that was one of the moments in my life which I'd felt like I was the luckiest person in the entire world to be able to call him mine.

"What's with the creepy staring so early in the morning?" I murmured, simply couldn't help the smile that broke across my drowsy face.

He clicked his tongue at my taunting. "Well, a very good morning to you too."

He was propped up on an elbow as he continued to stare down at me. I boldly snuggled into his warm bare chest and took a lungful of his intoxicating scent; he smelt of soap and the perfume that I'd worn the evening before lingered faintly on his skin. It took all of the strength in me not to let out a purr of utter contentment as I nuzzled into his chest.

Just moments later, I felt his hand on the top of my head, stroking my hair in the most endearing way possible. I peered up at him through my lashes to see that the smirk on his attractive face was replaced with a soft smile. I couldn't help but return one of my own.

"Did you sleep well last night?" I inquired.

The smile on Karma's face widened at my question and he removed his hand from my head and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me as close to him as humanly possible. "How could I not?" he grinned as he placed a kiss on my forehead, and then my nose, and then my lips.

He eventually trailed his lips down my jaw to my neck and I couldn't help but release a sigh of satisfaction at his touch. "With the way you'd used that mouth of yours last night..." he trailed off and my eyes instantly flew open in embarrassment at his abrupt and not to mention humiliating words. "I'm honestly surprised, (F/ N), I never knew you could be so lewd and-"

I'd captured his lips in a vigorous kiss before he could finish his thoughtless statements. He, of course, kissed back without any reluctance. I broke away seconds later and glared up at him. He laughed.

"What was that?" he chuckled, running a hand through his messy crimson locks. "Not that I'm complaining though."

"That was a warning," I threatened in the most serious voice that I could muster. "If you ever say anything inappropriately embarrassing like that ever again, I swear, I'll-"

Before I got the chance to finish, Karma had flipped his back onto the bed, dragging my body that was in his arms along with him as he did. I ended up falling on top of him, blinking at the abrupt action and with him smirking underneath me.

"What did I ever do to deserve you?" he murmured as he tucked a strand of hair which had fallen over my face behind my ear.

I softened at the sincerity in his voice as he'd asked the question; I honestly couldn't believe that after the events from the night before, he would still deem himself unworthy of being loved by me. I wanted to comfort him, finally put his doubts to rest, but just as I was about to do so, my eyes had caught a glimpse of the time at the digital clock on the table beside. My eyes grew and I swiftly returned my attention onto the beautiful boy beneath me.

"Well, you won't deserve any part of me if you keep lying here all day! We have to get up and get dressed or else we'll both be late for school!" I exclaimed before pushing myself off of him and grabbed the bathrobe that was placed on top of the chest of drawers next to the bed. Swiftly, I put it on and got up from the bed to head for the bathroom.

I heard Karma let out a groan in chagrin as I was about to leave the room. "But I just got out of the hospital yesterday! Shouldn't I be able to excuse myself from school for a few days?" he groaned, running both hands through his tousled hair.

"Considering how energetic and lively you'd seemed last night," I turned around to look at him, a smirk growing on my face. "That's a 'no'. Now get up or else!"

I spun back around and left to the bathroom to get dressed. A faint groan that was unmistakably my redheaded boyfriend's could be heard through the bathroom door once I'd shut it closed behind me. I shook my head, smiling with my back was leant against the door as I found his exasperated reactions to be quite amusing and entertaining. I then went over to the sink and started brushing my teeth with a quick shower following right after. I changed into one of my school uniforms which I'd brought over the night before just in case I had ended up spending the night there which was exactly what I'd done.

By the time I had finished and headed back into Karma's room, he was already gone. Raising a confused eyebrow, I decided to go downstairs to search for him. When my foot landed on the last step, I spotted Karma sitting on the couch in his school uniform with a manga volume in his hands.

"Took you long enough." His mercury orbs darted over in my direction as I made my way over to grab my bag which was placed in the armchair beside the couch. "I had even started to entertain the idea of leaving and locking you up alone in here as punishment."

I rolled my eyes at him which made him crack his infamous smirk as he stood up. "And now that I think about it, it really does sound like a good idea. Having you as my pet and all." He teased.

"Is my undying love not enough for you that you'd need to keep me as your pet to compensate?" I remarked, the ends of my lips twitching vaguely even though I'd tried my best to pull off a serious expression.

"Not at all, having you love me is more than enough," he said, his smirk slowly softening into a gentle smile and he raised a hand to touch my cheek. "I was just thinking that making you my pet wouldn't be such a bad idea. It'd honestly be quite interesting, seeing you impatient and begging for my return every day."

I shook my head, biting down on my bottom lip to suppress a smile from breaking across my face. "You really are a sadist."

"Yet you still love me." He smirked lazily.

"I do." I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down for a kiss.

I broke away moments later and rested my forehead against his. "And Karma," I began.

"Yes?"

"In response to your earlier question," I continued and pecked his lips. "You deserve me in every single way."

Karma's lips quirked up at my words. "Well, I'm glad to hear that."

"Good," I said. "Now let's get going before we get detention."
