The day I realised
I was the only one left alive
Out of the billion souls who wander,
Through Whatsapp, Facebook and Tinder
Whose brains are trapped in a web
Of lies, fame and lust
The souls which are now dead inside
But ensure the world they are still happy and alive
Am I the only one in control
Of my will and of my soul?
Or am I too blind to see the modern world?
Where people take selfies with friends
People who they rarely talk to again
Here life is a competition
Which is won by counting the number of likes and shares
Not by showing love and care.
The day I realised
That it was too late to realise,
Now the world is like a social media post
Only can be survived , if liked.
