shoot for the moon,
and you'll land among the stars.
you were the fireflies, the constellations
illuminating our galaxy,
unleashing your dark energy
throughout the world.
an orange glow shadows the horizon,
gentle yet powerful.

there is no one quite as ethereal as you,
but i still don't know why,
why he took the city of light
just to set it on fire,
why he slipped a drug in your drink
that night of the party,
why he ruined your innocence
when you were barely breathing.

why couldn't i love you sooner?
why didn't i see his ruse?
so many unanswered questions,
but now, i think i know why
you chose to die.

i'm so sorry.

i'm so sorry
