She was born
After years of wishes
She was a flower to his thorn
Her father's stitches

She helped him heal
She showed him another world
He would understand how she feels
With just one look, no need for words

She'd fall sick when she misses him
For she loves her father so much
A sickness which can only be cured
By her father's caring touch.

Every day, their love will grow
He'd take her with him
Everywhere he go

For him she was his princess
A bundle of joy, which he claimed priceless
She was his precious
A person who he valued more than his life

He had to work hard
For his livelihood
To meet ends
For their needs and food

But he would never compromise on anything
When comes to her
He'll get her everything
He'll do anything for her

One day, when she was five
On a bus, they took a ride
It was their fun trip
To the country side

She looked up at her father
He looked back with love
That travelled farther

He understood she was hungry
But it'll take an hour to reach a place
Where they can fill their tummy

So in the mid stop, he got down
He assured her he'll come back soon

Sometime later, the driver started the bus
She looked around frantically
Trying to spot her father in the mess

A tear slid down her Rosy cheeks
As she rushed towards the driver's seat.

She made him stop the bus
Everyone's attention was on her
Wondering 'why thy fuss?'

"Wait" she said firmly
The driver looked at her with confusion
Soon her father arrived
With evident stress an tension

A smile formed on her lips
On seeing her father on the steps
He looked at her in awe and wonder
'Could a father be more proud?' He pondered

'His daughter' he would say to his friends
And he loved her in a way
That could never end

As the years flew
The stronger their bond grew
She couldn't even think of a life
Without her father and his smiles

When she was twenty
On the day of her marriage
He knew she had to be sent away
In the awaiting golden carriage

It was time to make his princess the Queen
It was time to let her rule
It was time to pass the Crown,
To let her live her life she own

With heavy hearts
And teary eyes
The father and daughter
Bid their goodbyes

He called her every day
And visited when ever possible
Still, she'd miss him terribly
Like he was the piece missing in her puzzle

Time passed by
She was getting used to the change
She was not getting sick anymore
Which was very strange

Very soon she became a mother
Tears fell as she experienced how having a daughter feels
She thinks about him a lot over
But again, She was busy working to make ends meet.

Her life carried on
With his phonecalls now and then
Years passed in a flash
Everything happening very fast
Sweet memories were the only thing that last
From her beautiful long lost past

Her father was no more
And he will not comeback, ever
She was used to his absence
Yet, she was burning up with fever

It was the same sickness
She's missing him so much
Nothing can cure her fever
Nothing except his loving touch

She knew she was grown up now
She tells herself and others
That he's with her
And so will he forever

But somewhere...
The little girl peeks outside
Searching here and there
For her father to kiss her and smile

Somewhere...
She can't accept
That she can't find her father anymore
No matter where she'll search

Somewhere...
She cries
Missing his affection and love

Somewhere...
She's still the little girl burning up with fever

Somewhere...
She's the little girl still searching for her father
