Chapter 2-the quarry

Me and Bev biked to the quarry

"You excited to see Bill in his tighty whities" she giggled

"Shut up" i giggled aswell.soon enough we were there.

"Whos g-going first" i heard Bill say

"We will" Bev shouted,taking her dress off.they all turned around.
I took the hint and took off my summer dress.we held hands as we ran to jump off the probably dangerous cliff.
I sent a wink Bills away before decending into thr water.

"Holy shit Bill,she winked at you!!" I heard Richie shout making me giggle.i felt my cheeks heat up so i quickly cooled them down with water.
My head bobbed out and i slicked my h/c hair back.

Soon the others jumped in after.

Everyone was either splashing about or standing still or in my case i was skulling.im pretty short so i couldnt touch the bottom.Eddie also couldnt but he was hanging on to stan in attempt to dunk him.

"Wanna play chicken?" Richie asked everyone as we picked partners.

"Ill pass" i said trying my best to stay above water

"Y-y-y/n go on m-my shoulders,you w-wont h-have to k-keep m-m-m-"
I kept my patience and smiled
"Shit" he mumbled
"Moving them" he manged to say

"Yeh okay" i smiled and swam over to him as he went under to take me on his shoulders.
I could feel the tips of my ears going a light shade of pink as i tried to stay on.

"Ahh" i scream as i nearly fell off and grabbed on his hands.
We giggled for a second before getting ready to play.
A smirking richie sat on Bens shoulders ready aswell.
"Ready..set.GOOO" Bev shouted as Bill moved forward

"Go on Y/nn" Bev shouted and clapped

"Stop..being..biased" he said inbetween pushes because he knows that Bevs my bestfriend.

"Hush your gums"
I said,sending him in the water with one final push.

"Yayyy" i said putting my hands in the air.Bill let me down and i went in for a victory hug.

The hug was nice,i felt warm and like I belonged with the losers.

"Come on love birds lets dry off" a now shivering Richie said waving us off to some rocks.

I grabbed my towel and laid it down next to bev.
She set her stereo up and played bust a move.
I started putting suncream on so i dont burn,burnt skin isnt a good look when your hanging around your crush.

When i was done,i layed down and relaxed

"Ahh" i sighed as i felt comfortable.

After awhile Bev looked over,i sorta felt like there were eyes on us but i didnt act upon it.
Bev nudged me and i looked over.
Bill had quickly looked the other direction but i saw and smiled to myself.

"News flash Ben schools out for summa!" Richie said in a british accent

"Who sent you this" he giggled and ben snatched the post card off of him.

"No one" he took his bag from him

"Leave him alone Richie" i said as i went to sit next to Bill.Ben started to explain about missing kids and adults but i kinda zoned out.Bill let me see the folder but i was too focused on how close i was to him.my bare arm against his.skin to skin.Wow.

Ben ask if we wanted to go to his to see some more about the history about Derry.everyone agree but Eddie sat there and shook his head in fear.
