Details: josh is at [ y / n ]'s wedding and she just so happens to be his best friend since childhood.

[ y / n ] stood in the back of the room her arm linked with her fathers.  the boy stood at the altar his blue eyes shining due to the light that peaked in from the roof of the building. also at the altar [ y / n ]'s grandfather stood in the center with a book of what to say while running the service. [ y / n ] always wanted her grandfather to do the service at her wedding so this made her so happy.

she heard the first set of music start as her bridesmaids and the grooms best men walked down together to stand in their spots. she also watched as her little cousins threw the petals around. she smiled she was so nervous yet so excited.

she looks at the decorations the magnolias that we're placed amongst the room, the fairy lights the were strung to the faux vines that hung along the altar. it was absolutely perfect.

she hear the second set of music play signaling it was her time to walk down the isle. her father guided her down as [ y / n ] looked around she saw her best friend,joshua, in his black suit and tie in the back row away from most of the people. she looked away from him and walked up to where she saw her soon-to-be husband on the verge of tears.

she walked up to her spot on the altar after kissing her father in the cheek and thanking him. the ceremony then started.

the boy,her best friend, to a shot of whiskey from his flask. he was sure no one could see him or the tears that wanted to fall out of his eyes.

watching her up there on the altar without him being up there with her hurt him. he thought back to the night when he almost kissed [ y / n ] it was after a he filmed a big scene he was really nervous to film but he got through it thanks to her.

they,after the scene, went to a diner sitting in a booth by the window. they both order milkshake and fries along with a burger.

after reading each other josh looked into [ y / n ]'s eyes leaning in to kiss her just before matt cornett,his costar, decided to tap on the glass scaring the both of them.

[ y / n ] got up from the booth running outside to start playfully hitting matt as the two laughed josh felt jealous but they didn't talk about their feeling after that night. though josh had always wondered if she had felt the same way about him.

but that day he went out to his mailbox and pulling out the fancy looking card which was an invitation to [ y/ n]'s  and matt's wedding he knew he was too late and that she didn't feel the same.

he's not sure why he went to the wedding maybe it was because he thought [ y/ n ] would see him and realize her feelings for him or maybe it was because he just wanted to support her. either ways he was there now watching as matt said his vows.

josh knew that apart of him was giving [ y / n ] away. their friendship would no longer be as close as it had been. he dreaded it this whole day.

but he still,now, sat in his black suit and tie hiding in the back pulling out his flask taking another shot of whiskey as he tried to wipe away the tears that had managed to fall from his eyes.

josh thought back to before the wedding when [ y / n ] was welcoming all the guests. he had just managed to slip past her without her knowing. he thought for awhile before he thought about going to find her. telling her about his feelings but he decided against it. he didn't want to mess up the best day of his life.

but again here he was now sitting in the back taking shots of his whiskey from his flask. he watched as the ceremony continued matt finishing his vows as everyone clapped josh managed to leave without anyone noticing.

he placed his neatly wrapped gift on the table with the others, it was a sweater that [ y / n ] had made herself it said 'team ricky' with a picture of joshs face. she wore it whenever josh and olivia had a big scene because she knew how nervous josh would get with a big scene and seeing [ y / n ] in the sweater always made him laugh and smile.

he proceeded to leave the wedding going to the diner sitting in the same booth that they both had sat in that very night he almost kissed [ y / n ]. all their memories flooded his mind as he sat with his head down wishing he tried harder to make her his.

he looked up from the table and turned to look out the window of the diner to look at the sky for a moment. he looked back at the table and back up again.

there [ y / n ] stood in her wedding dress  the bouquet in her hands and he looked at her in a confused way. she shrugged as tears fell from her eyes.

she had left the wedding for josh.
