Chapter 11: Contestants be wary!

Covellite ruins
Holding the recovering Espurr in his arms Neil walked with Amala deep into the biggest ruins.
Neil rubbed the back of his cat's fur, feeling the remains of the injuries inflicted by Kasper, he hissed at the very memory.
Amala sudden stopped at a huge monolith structure.
"Neil what do you think of this one mural painting?" Amala asked seriously.
Neil took a look at the monolith and saw a painting, it was fairly obvious what it was.
"Mega Lucario and Mega Mawile but why is this here?" Neil said puzzled.
The painting had a sketch of a dog on it's hind legs with battle scars and a determined face, while the other sketch was that of humanoid being with two giant mouths sticking out of it's head, these were quite powerful megas in their own right.
"Am puzzled by it as well, anyway am sure team delta had other plans apart from keeping the fossils, maybe something to do with this." Amala stated
"Possibly" Neil said, still thinking about Kasper's true motives.

The next day
Neil packed up and was about to head to the next town.
"Neil be careful out there" Amala gave a worried expression.
Neil looked at her and gave a small smile.
"I'll be fine Amala even though I suffered a huge loss, am sure my Pokemon and I have grown from that" Neil said full of energy.
"Haaaaa..., Am still worried a bit, just make sure you keep in touch okay?" Amala asked.
"Sure thing." Neil said as he left the ruins.

Narcissus town
The path to the town was surprisingly quiet, so Neil got there in no time.
The town had modern looking buildings and flats, what stood out was the numerous flowers all over the place. Neil didn't hate vegetation but he wasn't a big fan of pollen everywhere.
'Achoo!' a sneeze escaped from him as he looked around.
The town was quite empty, looking like a ghost town even.
"Hey!!!" Anyone home!" A noisy familiar voice spoke up.
"Oh shit!" Neil shouted as he remembered who the voice belonged to.
His proclaimed rival and sworn enemy Cybil!

Cybil turned around to see what was going on.
"Neil!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She shouted out of anger.
Neil wanted to turn around and run away but he was too late.
"Guwah!" He shouted as if someone had tackled him from behind which did happen.
Cybil tackled him to the ground. And mounted him.
"Return the people of this town right now!" Cybil shouted.
"The hell are you going on about now?!" Neil responded with another shout.
"You used your mad science to turn everyone invisible or something!" Cybil ramble on.
Pushing her off him Neil's face turned red as he facepalmed.
"You seriously think I did that!" Neil shouted
"It's either that or everyone is having a party somewhere" Cybil said.
Neil stood up from the ground and dusted himself off.
"Let's go searching then" Neil came to the latter conclusion.
"Why should i?!" Cybil shouted once again
"Just do it!" Neil counters and the blonde girl could only pout in objection.
Walking around town Cybil stood a long distance away from Neil fearing what he could do with his so called science.

"So this is the gym huh? Looks like something out of a fairy tale" Neil observed a pink building with weird patterns around it.
"Hah! This gym would be a piece of cake for me, you know why?" Cybil said pumping her chest up.
"I didn't ask..." Neil was interrupted
"Because I have mega evolution now! Come out sceptile" Cybil said happily.
Cybil released the grass lizard with a tree for a tail out, she revealed a mega ring on her right hand and touched the key stone on it.
Sceptile began to glow green and suddenly transformed into mega sceptile, a grass and dragon type. Getting more spikes and a longer tree for a tail.
"You see this! This is true mega evolution, nobody but team delta need your stupid mega device" Cybil stated.
Neil looked impressed a bit.
"Cool, but I hope that wasn't your trump card against this gym cause it's a fairy gym" Neil said.
"A fairy gym! Why do you say that" Cybil asked scared.
Neil pointed to a sign saying "Narcissus gym home to the petit fairy Lexi" .
"Uwahhhhhhh" Cybil's scream was blocked out by a much larger one coming from South of the town
"Let's go!" Neil said as he dragged the depressed Cybil with him.
