liliana was born to maggie west and richard hanson, two sixteen year olds who fell in love in high school. she was conceived by accident and her mother's pregnancy was the talk of the small town they lived in for months. richard came from wealth and maggie did not.

because of their age, they were looked down upon by many people including liliana's grandmother, theresa. while maggie went into labor, theresa suggested she put up the baby for adoption. offended by the suggestion, maggie did the one thing she could think of in a fit of raging hormones and pain, she punched theresa in the face.

after that, the young couple were forced to move into the small apartment that was shared between maggie and her older sister, janice.

in order to afford living expenses, both janice and richard maintained school and a job. they frequently struggled to pay rent and as a child, little lily would notice the worry lines on her father's face or she heard her mother crying at night when she thought she was sleeping.

her upbringing was the motivation that lily needed to push herself through her years of school. as soon as she could get a job, she did. she saved up money occasionally, but she mostly gave her parents the money to help pay for the necessities.

once she graduated high school, lily wanted to pursue a college degree and open up a small family-owned bakery.

when it comes to liliana, she is a generally friendly person. at the moment, she works at a local diner and she still does everything she can to support her family. she is eternally grateful to her loving parents who she believes brought her up right and she wants to find a love like theirs one day.
