Don't call me a woman,

That's not what I want to be

And no, I'm not a guy,

it's just that'Woman' isn't me.

You tell me I'm a woman now,

You say I'm all grown up

You tell me I'm a big girl now

And forget about my thoughts

I want to stay a child,

I don't want to grow old

I want to stay silly, and simple, and young,

I want to keep my wild-ish soul.

You tell me I'm a woman now

You say I'm all grown up

You tell me I'm a big girl now,

And forget about my thoughts

Haven't you seen me having a blast?

Haven't you seen me play?

Haven't you seen my baby-faced smile

That lights up the whole damn day?

Haven't you seen me with my friends?

 Haven't you seen us laugh?

Haven't you seen us running around,

Not even giving a crap?

So don't call me a woman

When you know it isn't true

I may be mature, but I'm just as crazy

As the child inside of you.
