I woke up at 4:40 in the morning, Janet holding on to me tightly with nothing but a sheet over the both of us. I didn't wanna wake her and I knew if I moved I'd do just that and she'd begged me to stay or to come with me. 

I raked my fingers through her thick hair as I felt her kiss my neck lightly.

"Mhh what you doing up so early."

"I don't know honestly. What about you?"

"I felt you in my hair which let me know you were up."

"Well go back to sleep." I kissed her cheek but she decided to sit up on top of me.

"Maybe I don't want to." I slid my hands under the sheet to grip her ass.

"Janet go back to sleep."

"Toni I said I didn't want to." She answered back grabbing my face.

"Give me a kiss baby." I kissed her as she took full control

" better chill out J, this house is slightly holy. Ian want her cutting my ass in spirit."

"Now Toni."

"Hey they be watching. Like ghost whisperers she'd come back here and turn this whole house out."

"Well if you're Melinda I guess you gone help her cross over."

"No ima let her have this house, Ian touching that." We laughed as she laid her head back down to listen to my heart beat

"Wanna go to the park today or you wanna take a run down on my childhood"

"Both, I wanna learn as much about you that I possibly can. Your grandma said you can sing, will you sing for me?"

"For you. When I look back over my life and I see all the things, god's done for me. Been through danger, heartache, and trouble ooh. I thank the lord he's rescued me. Should've been dead and gone but the lord spared my life, that's why I can say that I am still here, it's by the grace of god." Janet looked at me in admiration.

"Is chills suppose to happen when you sing?"

"I don't know it's my first time in a while."

"Well you gave me chills, your voice is beautiful."

"Thank you."

"Toni?"

"Yea?"

"Can I just say that you're special really, I mean I understand the circumstances aren't the best right now but I'm just noticing little things here and there about you. Toni you're amazing."  I smiled at her pecking her lips.

"Thank you."

"Now can we go back to sleep?" I asked her as she started kissing on my neck.

"I can't show you no affection now?"

"Jan.."

"You give me love, can I at least give you some love?"

"When we get back to my house you can show me all the love you want. But while we in here Uh Uh, I shall not be attacked by a ghost. Go to the bathroom cut water on and start reading "get my fat ass out of here."

"You stupid." She laughed at me.

"Hell im just saying. Them things move like Jesus mysterious."

"Now Toni."

"Come on, if we not going back to sleep let's get something to eat."

"Fine."

"Go get dressed." I smacked her ass.

"Yes daddy." I just smirked watching her disappear into the bathroom.

God I'm so in love with her.....

1 week later

"You got your robe, don't worry what the haters say you got your robe."

"Toni who is this woman?"

"I don't know but she needa sit her ass down."

"Toni, you in church."

"Ion care. Hey! She heard you, she got her robe. Gone have a seat, bout damn night time and you still singing."

"Be nice Toni."

"I am being nice she done gave her selection ain't like she the Clark sisters. Sing the Verse and go on."  The next man went on and I don't even know man, that thank you lord was taking me out.

"That's why I'll just say thank ya lord, thank you lord, thank you—."

"Thank you! Pastor hit the benediction. The lord heard you, we heard you, and with you singing like that I'm sure she heard you too."

"Toni."

"Janet I don't like funerals especially long ones lets be like the white folks. Say a few words turn red and go home geez. My grandma prolly turning in the casket her own self.

"What am I gonna do with you."

"I don't know love me."

We were now viewing the body and out of all people I should be the one Fallin out but oh no my mom who I didn't even know was here, nor did she recognize me, was outchere cutting up.

"Somebody put her in casket we ain't doing this today."

"She ain't lying, deacons can y'all remove her please." They got her carrying her out the door.

The funeral was finally over and we were now having a repast, which I never really got the purpose of but to eat.

"Man I'm hungry, for you that is." I kissed her cheek, holding her hand.

"Toni, this is your grandma funeral. Show some respect." Now why did she come over here and say that.

"Ima show you some respect if you don't get out my face."

"Toni baby."

"Baby? You're a sinner."

"I really don't care."

"Sitting up in church with a female, how old are you? Is she making you do this?"

"Bit—"

"Toni."

"Ima go."

"You need to."

"Listen you got—."

"Toni calm down." Ms.Sam walked up placing her hand on my shoulder.

"Wesley, leave this girl alone."

"Samantha you know-."

"I know damn well you ain acting up at this girl grandmother funeral. You won't even a friend, more like a enemy with your nosy ass. Don't even take a to go plate, just walk out." She looked at Ms. Sam before snatching her purse from the table walking away.

"Jan you want something?"

"Yea, ima go ahead and get in line cause black people will go threw some shit."

"Now you know." She walked in line while I stood by Ms. Sam.

"Are you gonna stay here?"

"I don't know yet, I'll talk to janet and her mom about it tomorrow."

"I'm just glad she got to see you, you were all she talked about."

"She was all I ever talked about and I'm more than glad to have brought Janet to meet her."

"Yea, Janet is a lovely female. You've always been free spirited and I can tell she made you change in a way. Keep her."

"I will, honestly i wanna marry her. She's everything to me."

"Aww, I'm glad to see you happy love."

"Thank you."

"Ms. Sam, thank you for the funeral."

"I didn't do it."

"I did. Hello mom." I turned around coming face to face with someone I haven't seen in years.
