As someone who is blasian I would absolutely LOVE to either see more blasain idols or a black idol🥺. However let's be 100% honest for a second: that wouldn't sit well with most netizens as we've already seen how they react to stuff like that and racism is a big thing in Korea against "dark skin/ (tan people in general)", and it's so sad :/ For example, Alex was an idol, but I feel like what happened with her and her situation is a perfectly good example of why non asians will never be accepted in the kpop industry, weather they are talented or not. I know she was never the best kpop idol, and I know she struggled with the language barrier and joining at the last minute, but she really did set the dreams for many young non Asian girls/guys who want to be in the kpop industry. However we need someone who will actually come prepared- we need a non asian that can actually speak korean, that knows the mannerisms and respects the culture, someone that is actually talented in order to have a non asian kpop idol.
