Knuckles x Rouge Book 1

Chapter 4

Rouge gulped as she waited to hear the phone get picked up. Her heart beat went fast and quick. She was nervous.

Knuckles heard his phone ring and looked down. "This is probably Sally."

Everyone nodded.  "Answer it dude." Silver said. Knuckles answered.

"Hello?"

Rouge grabbed the phone away from Sally and hung up.
"I can't do it!"
Sally rolled her eyes,"yes you can. Let's give it another try."

Knuckles set his phone down.
"That was weird,no one answered."

Sonic chuckled,"girls will be girls."
Shadow nodded,"yeah."
Tails ate his s'mores and watched.

Knuckles phone rang again.
"Ok!here they go again...huh~"

Tails chuckled,"give them a chance."
Knuckles rolled his eyes and answered,"hello?"

Sally smiled," hello Knuckles,sorry for hanging up on you. My friend wanted to discuss something with you and just didn't know what to say. But she does now."

Knuckles nodded,"hrm...ok..."

Sally handed Rouge the phone,"h...hello Knuckles..."

Knuckles eyes widened and he stood up. Everyone stood also,"turn on the speaker so we can hear." Silver said.
Knuckles turned on the speaker.

"H...Hey R..Rouge. what's up?" Knuckles asked as heart beat quick.

"I umm...want to...I mean...h..how are you?"
Rouge studered a bit.

"I'm doing good,I'm hanging out with the dudes
...
How about you? Are you ok? Do you need help with anything? If you do I-"
Sonic and Shadow looked at Knuckles with a straight face. Knuckles shuts his mouth and looks away.

"No I'm ok Knuckles,I just wanted to know if you..."
Rouge looks at the girls,they all are either nodding or have thumbs up.

"To know what?" Knuckles asked tapping his foot.

"If you would like to go on a date sometime soon..." Rouge blushed and smiled.

Knuckles widened his eyes and smiled brightly.
"I..I would love too."

Rouge's jumped into the air in joy.
"See you tommorow at 7pm,at...your place! Bye bye sweetie!" She ended the call and cried in happy tears.
"O my god!!! O my god!!! Knuckles said YES!"

Knuckles blushed and sat down frozen.
"Dude, You got yourself a date?!!" Silver said chuckling.
Knuckles nodded,"yes. Yes I do."

Meanwhile, everyone celebrated happily ready for the big day.

Knuckles fell asleep in his bed, thinking of Rouge. He thought of stuff to do together. Maybe a nice romantic tour around Angel island? Hm... not a bad idea.

Rouge laid in bed with a bright smile.
"Knuckles~"
She said as she drifted off to sleep.
"I...love you..."

Sorry this chapter is short. But... it's worth it.
