*i originally wrote this for personal keeping but I thought maybe you would find some good from reading it too <3*

hey future self,
this is gonna be the dumbest thing I've ever written but it'll be helpful hopefully.
I know you're going through a rough patch, and you most likely feel bad for being sad when there's people "worse off" than you. but it's ok to be sad sometimes, you're not alone and sometimes all you need is a good cry.
just don't hold on to that negativity afterwards for more than a day. yeah you'll have bad days but they  only happen in 1/100 good days, so don't wreck the good times with leftover sadness from the past.

let yourself be sad, work out how to take a step forward and then move on. you don't want to miss out on life and especially your teen years. they're special and don't last long. go to that party, date that boy, do that dumb dare, you only live once and you don't want to regret not doing something a year later.

"everything happens for a reason", it's true. you say that quote to a lot of people when they need advice, but listen to it too. life sucks sometimes, no, life sucks a lot of times. but every little bit of pain, every curveball thrown at you, serves a purpose. it sets up your life and your whole future existence, maybe for the good. so yeah crap happens, shit hits the fan, but it'll be ok in the end. just relax, you spend too much time overthinking things you can't help, and trust me it doesn't do anything but make matters worse. do some exercise, shower, clean, do something, anything, to shift your mind set and help you think clearer.

I don't know what's in store for me at this very moment, but I know I haven't been through a hell of a lot and things will probably get worse at times. but at least knowing that your past self, the person writing this letter, is rooting for you, will give you some comfort. i know that no matter what you have to go through, even if it's a trip through hell itself, you'll make it out alive and ten times stronger. even at the very least, you have something to learn from.
so yeah, it'll be ok. I'm rooting for you, don't let me down.
keep your chin up or your crown will fall xo
