Webby's POV

"She's what!", I screamed, my voice beaming with confusion. "Webby! Quiet down!", Violet whispered grabbing a hold of my shoulders and slightly shaking me, causing me to stop all the ruckus I was making. "What's going on?", Louie said, walking towards me with the others following behind him, his face gave off a worried look that made the knot in my stomach twist and turn more, causing more anxiety to rush through me. Knock. Knock. Knock. The door slightly vibrated from the hits to it, which made everyone stop what they were doing and look towards the door, we all blankly stared at it scared of what was to happen next. "Should I-", April asked motioning her hand towards the door, making all of us avert our attention towards her. None of us answered, making the room dead silent, which made April stop what she was doing and walk towards the door. Something inside of me was telling me to stop her, but my body refused to move, which caused more distress to wash over me from my lack of confidence. I watched as April started to unlock the locks on the door, which made my body position stiffen up, and to my comfort two long arms wrapped around my waist from behind, as I turned my head to see the person, it was no other than Louie himself. He shot me a comforting smile, and I gave one back, but it was noticeably fake because Louie dropped his smile to a neutral expression and leaned his head on my shoulder. "When did we agree to open the door?", Huey whispered out, his voice cracking a little bit at the end as if he was about to cry, but the tears never fell. "I have no idea, it just kind of happened I guess", Lena whispered back, making the already concerned boy, fear what was going to happen more than ever.

I noticed my breath become more shaky with every move that April made to slowly open up to the door and reveal what was supposedly going to be Granny. As the door slowly opened, I could feel Louie move his mouth moving towards my ear, and in a low husky voice he said, "I will fight for you, no matter what I will not loose you again". His breath hit my cheek causing a cold chill to run down my spine, but his words were promising and genuine, making my heart skip a beat and the warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach run through me, coursing in my veins. I nodded my head as Granny was revealed in the doorway, her grey hair a mess, her clothes tattered and dirty, she was obviously leaving no stone unturned trying to find me. "Webbigail!", Granny said her voice happy and joyful, but as she stepped towards me Louie pushed me behind him, making him my shield. Granny was taken aback from Louie's sudden actions, and her jaw dropped and the look of disgust and fear was noticeable in her facial expression. "Webby we need to leave", Granny said, her voice dropping a few octaves and the commanding tone made me grab a hold of Louie's shirt. "No...", I said, the confidence was not leaking through my words, and it made me sound more cowardly than ever, like a little kid not getting the toy that they wanted in a store, and they refused to leave without the toy, but there parents eventually dragged them out of the store, the kid always losing. "Webby~!", Granny said once more, being more stern and directing this time, and she stepped towards Louie, towering over him, causing everyone around us to take a few steps back, trying to distance themselves from what ever was bound to happen. "She said no!", Louie shot back, his voice way more confident than mine, like he new that in every universe, the outcome would always be the same no matter what changes or paths were taken.

"What makes you think a mere child like you, could keep me from my granddaughter?", Granny scoffed quite enthusiasticly, "She doesn't need to be around you foolish kids, it was an obvious mistake taking a job from a crazy old man and letting my granddaughter move in". Granny's words made me wince, they hurt much more than anything that has previously happened to me, I guess the expression was right, words are like knives. "Yea, maybe we have made some mistakes, but people make mistakes, no one is perfect. And the difference is you're trying to pull her into something that she doesn't want to do, causing her to suffer, and just for your benefit? How selfish", Louie said, his words having purpose, making me pull away from him and stand next to him, instead of behind. "It's not being selfish, I'm doing it for her benefit not mine", Granny said, her words more scattered, and her voice was more rough, an immediate sign of defeat. "But that's not benefiting her is it? She's going to be taken away from the people that care about her the most, only so that she can get the 'help' she needs", Louie's words were like missiles firing out of his mouth, each one had an effect on someone or something. I watched as Granny dropped her head, shaking it as she was trying to admit her faults. "If you don't like the situation Webby's in then I don't know what to tell you, all you can do is let her decide", Louie said as he looked towards me smiling, I paused all the thoughts in my head and realized that I had to make one of the biggest decisions of my life.

"What's it going to be Webby? Ms. Beackly or us?", Dewey asked, receiving nods from everyone else, I was obligated to make this choice, but I didn't want to. I looked around the room trying to find a way to stall out the situation even if it was for a few minutes, then it hit me. "I-I'm going to go uh...USE THE RESTROOM! Yea use the restroom", I stuttered out, feeling my face burn up with heat, I ran into the bathroom and locked the door saving me from the embarrassment. "Jesus christ, Webby", I mumbled out while walking to the sink to look at myself in the mirror, seeing how red my face was I turned the right faucet clockwise and watched the water pour into the sink. I cupped some cold water into my hands and splashed my face a few times while thinking. I had absolutely no idea what to do, I either leave my trusting, caring Grandma, or I leave my friends, my absolute everything. I looked over my face once more in the mirror before turning off the faucet and sitting down on the closed toilet seat. I sighed and ran my hand through my messy hair, while pulling out my phone, trying to clear my mind. I went to my contacts and started to scroll through the names listed, and one name caught my attention, it read, 'Dean'. I paused my finger on the name and remembered when I snapped at him, right after he helped my with my bags, jeeze I was so selfish. I clicked on the name and my phone started to ring, there was no turning back so I held my phone against my ear and I could only hope. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Click. "Hello?", the voice from the other end said, he picked up. "Hey", was all I could say, I was so glad he picked up, that I could hardly even speak right now. "Who is this?" , Dean asked, breaking me from my trance as I answered back, "It's me Webby". He seemed to be unamused as he said, "Oh...hey what do you want?", I could feel my heartbeat speed up, my anxiety getting worse as out past encounter still made me uneasy, but I managed to get out, "I have a problem". "Yea and I have a problem with you now, so bye", Dean said, his harsh words stabbing into my chest, karma's a bitch. "WAIT! Don't... i need you to put our past experience behind you and listen to me", I said very commanding and forcefully, but deep down I hoped he listened.
