I woke up when my phone started ringing...


unknown calling...


"Hello?"


[Is this Kim Min kyu?]

"Yeah, who is this?"


[This is the investigator last time, sorry for calling this early]


"Ah, it's okay. What made you call?" 


[Can you come here today? We just found out something. I want to tell you yesterday but I heard you visited the correctional service]

"Yeah, we talked to Jung Chul yesterday. I'll go there today. I'll see you"


[Thanks]


"No problem" I said an ended the call, I quickly dialed Chan's number




calling Chan...


[Yeah?]


"Do you have plans today? Where are you?"


[At Eunji's house. Why?]

"Can you go with me?"


[Where?]


"The investigator called me. He said he found out something"


[You mean-]


"Yes, please don't tell anyone there. Let's finish this today. Be quiet"


[Okay, I'll see you at the police station]


"Yeah" I ended the call and turned off my phone



Someone knocked on my door and opened it "Min kyu? What happened yesterday?"



"Everything's okay now, Mom. It's Hyunjin's Uncle and Aunt who made Jung Chul do it. I'll just tell you everything later. I have to go somewhere now"



"Where? Please take care. Your Father and I have to go somewhere later" Mom



"Yup, you guys too. I love you both so much" 



"We love you too. I'll see you tomorrow" Mom smiled and left my room



I took a quick bath and wore black shirt, pants, and rubber shoes. I dried my hair and went downstairs. I hop in my car and started driving to the police station with high speed.



Chan calling...


"Yeah?"


[I'm already here]


"I'm on my way"


[Yeah, be careful. They said the investigator is not yet here]


"He'll be there"


[Okay. See you] 


"Yup" I ended the call



I arrived at the police station and parked the car beside Chan's car. Why do I feel like I want to vomit? Fuck it. I calmed myself and got out of the car. I went inside and saw Chan typing on his phone.



"Chan" I called



"Hey, the investigator is inside but I don't know what to say so I waited for you" Chan



"Okay" I nodded



We entered the room where the investigator is. 



"Sir" Chan called




"Thank you for sparing some time" investigator



I just smiled.



"Sit down" he said so we quickly sat down "So, last time we find out that Areum's body was injected by a drug"



We stayed quiet and waited for him to say something.



"The drug is called HX3, it can kill someone within 30 minutes" investigator


(this is a fictional drug)




"How did you know about it?" Chan



"We tried to find out about the drug but we can't find anything. A friend of mine from states came home and he knows what that drug is. He is also an investigator. He told me it is a HX3, that can kill the person who was injected by the drug after 30 minutes" investigator



"So, that drug killed Areum?"



"Yes. You guys told me that Areum talked with the nurse and was struggling that time. Eric told me someone called them that Areum is struggling to breath, they still have 10 minutes to save Areum but they don't know what to do since they doesn't know about the drug. If only they knew about it, she should've been alive now" investigator



Chan sighed as he heard from the investigator about the drug. 



"I found the one who investigated Hyunjin's parents' body. We did had a hard time to find the files since it's been 16 years when they died. The same drug was used to Hyunjin's parents" investigator



"You mean-" Chan



"Yeah, there's a higher possibility that Hyunjin's Uncle and Aunt are the one behind the phone calls with Alliyah. Hyunjin's parents might have been alive when the ambulance came but Jung Chul killed them with one shot that made them more difficult to breath" investigator



"That means Hyunjin's Aunt and Uncle injected them the drug and that's when Jung Chul came? Why didn't they injected it to Hyunjin?" 



"Hyunjin might be somewhere when that happened" investigator



"Can you put them in prison before they do something to Hyunjin? I'm sure they will make someone kill him" Chan



"We already have the warrant of arrest" investigator



"What happened?"



"We went there earlier but they are not there anymore. We just saw the maids and workers of the house. We searched everywhere but we can't find them. The maids and the workers are willing to tell us what happened that day but they are asking for protection. We brought them here and they told us everything" investigator



We stayed quiet.



"The older maid told us that she saw Hyunjin's Aunt injected something to his parents. She tried to stop her but she threatened her that she will kill them if they tell everyone. They brought them with them that day. Everything was planned. They are the one who tried to kill Hyunjin back then but the maid stopped them and threatened them to tell the police. But that doesn't stop there. She saw them putting some food poison, she changed the food. After that she always make Hyunjin's food. They just want Hyunjin to leave the house but they can't tell him. They are scared that they might kill them and Hyunjin" investigator



"What if they go to another country?" Chan



"We already told any international airport not to let them leave. We told every security and police around Korea to contact us when they saw them. They are just here, they can't leave Korea with our security" investigator



"Thank you"



"Yeah, no worries, this is our job. But for now, Hyunjin shouldn't know about it, he might do something without our permission. Go with him everywhere, you shouldn't leave him alone. We asked for security protection to all your houses and to Hyunjin's close friends house. They might do something again" investigator



"Thank you so much" Chan



"No worries. Take care. We will do everything to find them" investigator
