"THE OUTSIDERS" ACTUALLY GOT C. THOMAS HOWELL (PONYBOY CURTIS) A YOUNG ARTIST AWARD.
A "Young Artist Award" is a type of certificate given when a younger performer does a terrific job in a movie, a musical, music songwriting, and other fields of art. Apparently, in 1988, Howell received an award of his own for "Best Young Motion Picture Actor in a Feature Film" during his time while being in "The Outsiders." We all have to admit, for Howell's age (17 years old) he did an outstanding job in the movie that we all know and love to this day.
