𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁

𝗛𝗮𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘃.

I couldn't believe it
Am I really a burden to them?
What did I do wrong?

He was walking to the Dreamies dorm,sure it was pretty far away but he needed some Alone time, so he figured he would walk. He switched off his phone and got dissolved in his thoughts. he has been walking for 20 minutes now,tears were dropping like a waterfall but he didn't care,as long as he had his mask on nothing could go wrong, right?

Suddenly he heard people shouting,he snapped out of his thoughts and turned around only to see a car coming towards him in full speed,he tried to get out of the way but it was to late,last thing he remembered was people running towards him and  pulling his mask down

"Is that Lee Donghyuck?!"
"The NCT member?!?"
"Call the ambulance!"

Were some of the last things he heard before everything went black

𝗡𝗖𝗧 𝗽𝗼𝘃.

After hearing that,they all felt their hearts being crushed into pieces,they still didn't know what had happened as the lady only told them to come to the hospital, almost all members were on their knees sobbing, cursing at themselves, blaming themselves

"M-maybe it's n-not t-that s-serious"
Jungwoo uttered while crying,he ran a hand through his hair out of frustration and fear

"L-lets just g-go a-and hope f-for the best" Johnny managed to say

They all nodded and got in the biggest van they had so that all of them could go together,half of the ride was quiet they could only hear each other's crying,they were not even trying to contain themselves,they were sobbing loudly not caring what the driver might think. They were trying their best to be positive, Hoping nothing major had happened.

Renjun was sitting on the corner near a desk where all kinds of things like snacks,their van tv remote etc were  spread, because of not having enough space he put his hand on the desk, accidentally pressing the on button of the remote.
The TV was now on and all the members looked at eachother in disbelief thinking why would anyone want to watch TV during a time like this
"S-sorry I-I accidentally s-switched it on" Renjun said while getting the remote, he  was about to turn it off but Jeno who was sitting beside him stopped him, something caught his eye, Renjun was confused, suddenly Jeno said loud enough for everyone to hear
"G-guys j-just look at t-the screen once"
They all looked at the screen in unison

That's when they felt their world collapse

After this a few clips were playing which included the one where the car hit Donghyuck,and the one in which his lifeless body was laying down on the road, blood everywhere.

"TURN IT OFF"
Mark pleaded

No one could hear him, everyone was in their own world,those clips sticked to their minds,no matter how much they wanted to get them out of their head,it seemed like there was no stop to their tears,they just kept flowing and flowing....

𝗔𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹
As expected cameras where everywhere trying to get a glimpse of the members, but they couldn't care les,they didn't think about their image, Donghyuck was all they could think about.
They were instructed to the 3rd floor where Donghyuck was admitted,they had booked the whole floor so they didn't have to worry about the cameras

"The surgery is going to be over soon,you can see him afterwards"the nurse said, trying to assure them that Haechan was fine
"H-he i-is o-ok right?" Taeil asked
The nurse smiled
"He was brought to the hospital at the right time,if he would've come even a minute late,we wouldn't be able to save him"
The members sighed in relief,a huge weight had been lifted off their shoulders

30 minutes had passed and the surgery was successful and over

"He's sleeping right now, but you can see him" the nurse said and leaded them to his room.
To be honest they were a little scared to see him in this state but they were beyond relieved and thankful to the hospital for saving him

"Try your best to not wake him up,he needs to rest" the nurse left them standing in front of the door to his room.

Taeyong was standing nearest to the door,his hand made its way to the door handle,he looked at all the members and took a deep breath
