'Yeah blinded by the lightss..." I whispered singing along with the music on my spotify while brushing my teeth.
Today is the first day of school in my new school. Yes, yesterday lang akong dumating at school na agad ngayon. It's because Mommy wants to spend more time with me. First time kasi naming magkalayo. So what I did is, I took the entrance exam online and si Tita nalang ang nag-enroll and process sa papers ko here sa Cebu while I was still in Manila.
Since I sleept early yesterday, I woke up early to prepare for my day.
"Ang aga ni Miss Gabby ah." Yna said and went to the kitchen and sat in the dining table to eat her breakfast.
"Hi! Good morning. I have to kasi, e. I don't know the pasikot-sikot here yet. Baka mawala pa ako." I said to her
"Conyo naman ni Miss Gabby." singit ni Z na nakaupo narin pala katabi ni Yna.
Yna and I laughed.
"So uh see you later?" I faced them after getting my bag and wore my shoes. I'm not wearing my uniform yet. Just faded jeans and maroon V-neck shirt.
"Yes po. Ingat ka sa school. See you mamayang hapon." Yna said
"Ingat Gab!" sabi din ni Z
I waved my goodbye and went to Tita's room. Good thing when I knocked nandon siya and I don't need to find her in the building anymore.
"Oh? Aalis kana Gab?" si tita
"Opo. Hahanapin ko pa kasi rooms ko for these subjects today." I said while showing her my phone's lock screen. Wallpaper ko kasi yong sched ko para madaling tingnan since hindi ko pa memorize.
"Okay sige, mag ingat ka ah? Don't hesitate to call me if something happens" she said and ruffle my hair.
"Opo tita. Wag mag-alala at wag mo na pong guluhin hair ko." I said stepping a little backwards from her.
We both laugh and she sighed.
"Dalaga kana nga." she said dramatically.
"Magandang dalaga." I said and winked.
"Oo na. Pero kong mag bo-boyfriend ka, sabihan mo ako ah! Kikilatisin ko muna!" she said.
"Tita.. Wala pa po sa isip ko yan." I assured her.
I road a jeep going to my school. Nang nahanap ko na ang aking room ay pumasok na rin ako. Hindi pa masyadong madami ang tao sa loob so I got the chance to have a nice seat. Hindi malapit sa teacher, hindi rin malayo. For short, nasa gitna ako at malapit sa window.
From my seat ay tanaw ko ang mga building sa labas. I can also see the open field from here. Napatingin ako sa ballpen na hawak ko. I saw this kanina sa elevator on my way up here. I was the last one na lumabas nang huminto ang elevator dito sa 8th floor kung nasaan ang room ko when I saw this pen sa floor ng elevator. Hindi ko na matanong kong sino ang may ari dahil sa lima kong kasama kanina sa elevator ay agad ding lumabas.
Pinagmasdan ko ang pen. It's from an expensive brand ng pen with a flashlight. Cool. But napansin kong may naka-ukit na "PAQ" sa pen. Maybe the owner's name? I don't know. Sayang naman kaya pinulot ko na. Gagamitin ko nalang to.
Minutes passed by dumadami na rin ang tao sa room and after the bell rang sumunod naman ang prof namin.
I am a tourism student. Third year. Nag transfer lang dito because of my past in Manila.
Just a typical first day of school. Pinapunta isa-isa ang lahat sa gitna to introduce their names creatively. Super fun. Yung iba may pa hugot pa that everyone in the class would say "ohhh" every after the hugot. Ang iba naman ay laught trip.
"Ah.. Hi! I'm Gabriella Rama. And umm I'm usually shy with the people I just met so I don't know how to make this introducing kabubay-buhay at makulay but if you're willing to put kulay in my buhay that would be fine." I said while laughing.
"Ang cute mo miss!" someone shouted.
"Kahit lame joke ko, God bless you all parin." I said back and we all laughed.
The first day was fun until I bumped into someone.
I was busy holding my phone looking for my next subject when a guy holding his laptop with his books bumped me. Yes he bumped me. And here's what he said:
"Oh geez! Really? You can't use your eyes?"
"What? You're the one who's not looking the way." I said
He stared at me for a second and a crazy smile float in his pogi face. Yes. Pogi. But not anymore. Binangga niya ako at nahulog yong phone ko.
"You're the lame joke maker." he told me.
"What? Hoy kuya guy! I don't even know you. We're not close. So don't belittle me." I spat back.
"Ay ganon ba miss? Oh sige hindi na." he said still smiling.
"Why are you nakangiti ba? Ha? You're nakakatakot!" I said already pissed now. There's something in his vibe that can make me piss agad and I don't know what it is.
Kung kanina he's just biting his thin lips preventing himself to smile, ngayon tumawa na talaga. What a mokong.
"Eh ang conyo mo din miss!" He said laughing. I saw some little tears in his eyes because of so much fun. Wow naman tawang tawa talaga siya. Ugh.
"Ikaw mokong!" I said. Bwesit.
"Naalala ko tuloy mukha mo kanina sa classroom." he said and put his tounge in the side of his cheek para hindi matawa.
"Ano naman ngayon? Anong naalala mo?" I told him and put my arms crossed in my front.
"Don't worry miss. Cute kana man. Hakuna matata." he said and walked away.
What the hell? Sino yun?
