An Unsaid Chase

"Morning Appa" Manik felt Avni back hugging him and resting her head on his back as he made an omelette

"When are you going to stop calling me that" he said making a bad face

"I don't know" she said and yawned making him chuckle

"Dad!" Advay brag in running and jumped on him unannounced

"Toofaan ki aulaad" Manik said holding him making sure he does not hurt himself as Avni glared at him

"Little one you could have got hurt" she said seriously, all her sleepyness had disappeared

"Shud up!" Advay said making a teasing face

"Oye!" Manik said sternly

"She is elder, don't talk to her like that" he added and Avni gave him a sly smile and Advay made a whatever face

"Say sorry" Manik told him

"Sorry Dida" Advay said making the world's most cutest face

"Awww mera baby" Avni picked him up and he sneaked his legs around her waist and hands around her neck and rested his face on her shoulder. Manik looked at him with a proud feeling. He was proud he created this little monster who can make anyone fall for him

"Why did you ran in?" He asked creasing Advya's hairs and then dropping a forehead kiss

"I was missing you Dad" Advay said and Manik looked at him, he looked at Avni who had a confused face and they both shared a look then looked back at Advay who had his hands hold out towards Manik

Manik took him in his arms and Avni gestured him that she will continue making the omelette

Manik make him sit on the kitchen island away from the stove and stood caging him by putting hands on Advya's either side. He then bent a little to reach Advya's height

"What did you do in school?" Manik asked him

"Is there a complaint or remark?" he added and Advay nodded looking down with a sad pout

"When are we going back to London?" he asked making both Manik and Avni look at him

"What's wrong?" Manik asked immediately. He and Nandini had made Advay understand that now they will stay in India. He knew Advay was an understanding child and something like this coming from him was so not possible

"I don't like it here" Advay said with teary eyes

"Hey hey hey" Manik said hugging him

"Not wasting the precious tears" he ruffled his hairs

"What's wrong baby? Dad ko batao? Did anyone said anything?" Manik asked breaking the hug and looking at him as he nodded no, and Avni observed their interaction as an audience

"Did something happened in school?" he asked and Advay nodded no

"Maa and I thought you good touch  and bad touch. Adi did anyone touched you in a bad way" Manik asked and Avni had her heart in her mouth which relaxed as soon as Advay nodded no

"Did anyone bully you?" he asked but Advay nodded no and now he started to cry. Manik tried to hug him but he shoved Manik away. Looking at this Avni came and hugged him

"Kya ho gaya little one, you know Dida doesn't like to see you cry baby" she cooed him

"Dad toh bhul hi gaye mujhe" he said hugging Avni making her go Aww

"He is always working, unko toh time hi nahi hai. London mein he use to play with me, take me out for trips, day out. Abhi woh Advay ko miss bhi nahi karte" he complained and Avni hugged him giving Manik a sad pout
