"Happy birthdayyyyy Y/NNNN!!!" My friends said to me into the camera as we boarded the boat. I just smiled really big and thanked them. It was my 21st birthday week and my group of friends and I decided to take a cruise to Jamaica. I decided I wanted to go out of the country rather than staying in the city and just going to regular ass bars.
"So Carson and Kenya are in room 415, Laila and Liv are in 414, and Y/N and I are in 416." My best friend Niree said. I met Niree when we were in our senior year of high school. We ended going to the same school, decided to become roommates and then here we are. Laila and Liv are the twins; I met them at a dorm party we were having and we instantly clicked, mainly because they helped me drive away this random dude who wouldn't stop trying get at me. Carson is my older cousin who wanted to come, only to be "the mom" of the group to make sure we stay safe. Lastly there's Kenya, my younger cousin but like a month. We've been inseparable since we were born and has been the little sister I never had.
We dragged our suitcases down the hallway of the fourth floor of the boat, ready to get this five day cruise started. "So how many niggas do we think Y/N is gone get this week y'all?" Laila asked, earning an eye roll from me. "More like how many free drinks are we gonna get this week!" Liv continued. They loved making bets within our group because they claimed "it was more fun" that way. Now sometimes it is but other times it can get a little too wild for my taste. "I wanna take a tour of the boat so put y'all shit down pleaseee." I ignored them and walked into the shared room with Niree behind me.
