the wind that blew
past the space between us,

"it sure is raining today too, huh." one of the students said as they opened their umbrellas after they just changed their shoes. midoriya who was walking behind them, was looking down in sadness. he somehow can't stop his frowning and just stared straight into the ground. he slowly closed his eyes, afraid that tears would go parallel the rain falling down to the ground.

in frustration, he gripped on the straps of his bag and turned to the direction opposite his house. bakugo, along with his friends were just behind him. he stared at the freckled boy who suspiciously went in another route to go somewhere.

there wasn't a hint of anger nor hatred in his eyes. bakugo was calmly looking at midoriya but even though he had a calm face, he seemed to be thinking deeply about something.

maybe apologizing? no.

following him? no.

brought loneliness
from somewhere far off.

he didn't know how to put it, but he was confused. he was concerned. worried. he felt that something bad was gonna happen, yet he can't pinpoint how something bad would happen, so he shrugged the feeling away.

"oi bakugo! are you going home or not?" his friends called out to him, and bakugou snapped out of reality. it looked like the sound of the loud rain returned to his hearing senses and he became wide eyed, realizing how long he was staring at midoriya's direction and now to notice that he's already gone.

already gone.

bakugo turned around, and headed home, as he quietly walked in front, with his buddies behind him talking to each other. he had shrugged off the thought about that uneasy feeling that was somehow sad, terrifying... and painful.

what was it?

he didn't know, because he had no idea it was that all along.

that being his heart and mind that had already prepared to let go of something.

or rather someone.

midoriya didn't want to go home yet. he walked to that abandoned place he had seen in his dream. as he pulled his hoodie down, the rain was showering him with pain, sadness, and loneliness, yet all he could do was still stare down at the concrete pavement. he didn't know whether it was the rain or his tears falling down on the ground.

he just wanted to be someone out there someone could accept.

me? he scoffed. someone would accept me? never. never in a million years.

he walked into an alleyway and just sat in a corner. he hugged his knees and hid his face in them. he wasn't thinking of anything, his mind was blank. all he could feel was the cold wind of the rain, and all the more it was colder for him because of his wet uniform. all he could hear was the sound of the rain that seemed to be feeling the same way as him, showing him empathy.

amidst the loud rain, he could hear footsteps getting louder and louder, as it walked towards him. it suddenly stopped, and midoriya looked up as he felt someone's presence.

after we cried,

the man spoke, and midoriya's eyes widened from surprise, yet a hint of hope was in them. it was the same thing he heard from his dream.

"no one came to save you, huh. it must've been hard, midoriya. you didn't do anything wrong. it's fine. i'm here for you." the man reached out his hand for midoriya.

the sky always
appeared to be so clear.
