Y/N walks to her table at the office and smiles at her co-worker, Mitch. "Aww, Mitch! How sweet of you!" She puts her bag next to her chair before taking a seat. "It's been a long time since I've had a juice box and you even got my favorite flavor! You're the best, Mitchie!"
"I really hate to burst your happiness bubble and although it's nice to see you so stress-free, I have to be honest with you." Mitch tells her. Y/N looks at her co-worker as he sighs, "That juice box isn't from me. It's from this really cute guy! I don't know him, though. He didn't leave a note or anything."
"Can you...describe him?" Y/N asks, leaning back on her seat. She had a hunch, but she didn't want to confirm it until Mitch tells her a brief description of the 'cute guy'.
"He was tall, he has blue eyes that looked like a swimming pool, he has dark blonde hair, and his voice was-"
"I FUCKING KNEW IT!!!" Y/N says loudly. Everyone around her and Mitch looks at them weirdly. She clears her throat and tells people to proceed to what they were doing before glancing at Mitch again, "My dear, you've met Harrison."
Mitch gasps and covers his mouth. He slowly puts his hand down and grins, "Oh. My. God. I can't believe I finally met him!! He's so cute!! Why did you leave him?!"
"He was an ass, remember??" Y/N rolls her eyes.
"Oh," Mitch frowns, "I remember now. Anyway, we have a meeting before our lunch break and it sucks, because..."
Y/N stares at the juice box as Mitch just rambles on about something she doesn't care about. If this juice box is a sign that Harrison is taking this seriously, then he better up his game. But if this is just a way for Harrison to come back in her life again and he's taking small steps, then wow. He's really trying.
"For fucks sake, just drink it already!" Mitch says, loud enough for her to break her trance. "It won't hurt your pride to drink it and I know you want to. So just swallow your fucking pride and drink it, bitch."
Mitch is giving zero fucks today.
"Fine." Y/N grabs the drink and pokes the little straw on it and drinks it as she starts her work. Knowing that Mitch isn't looking anymore, she slightly smiles to herself before shaking her head to focus.

"That meeting was so boring!" Mitch groans as he and Y/N sit together on the bench at the park. The park is full of people and they don't blame them. The weather is nice for once.
"Why are you eating that shit again?? You've been eating that everyday for such a long time now!" Mitch looks at Y/N lunch with disgust.
"Trust me when I say that I'm sick of it too, but I'm saving up for a new place and I have to pay my bills and I don't my family's support so yeah sucks to be me." Y/N rants.
"Hey Y/N!" a familiar voice greets. Y/N and Mitch look up from their food to see Harrison standing there with a paper bag from the restaurant he took Y/N to once: Starvest.
"The fuck do you want, Osterfield?" Y/N asks. "Can't my friend and I have lunch in peace?"
"If that's your way of saying 'thank you for the juice box, Haz', then you're welcome." Harrison winks. He looks at Y/N's lunch and says, "I'll trade my lunch for your lunch."
"That's a bad idea, sweetie." Mitch says with his mouth full. "We did that once and my face was all red and puffy when we got back to the office."
"Mitch, you were allergic to one of the ingredients." Y/N chuckles at the memory.
"Whatever." Mitch playfully rolls his eyes as he takes a sip of his water.
"C'mon, Y/N. Let's trade!" Harrison whines like a toddler.
She looks warily at the paper bag he's carrying and squints, "What's in it?"
"Your favorite food from Starvest." He shrugs nonchalantly. Y/N nearly squealed. She hasn't had that in two years. Harrison slightly smirked when he saw the glint of happiness in her eyes. She shakes her head and clears her throat, "What if I like my lunch?"
"I know you hate it, love. I also know that you want to trade, so let's trade lunches." Harrison grins. Mitch looks back and forth at Harrison and Y/N while hiding his own smile, "Go and trade lunches, Y/N! Eat something different for once. I know you want to."
"I guess I kinda want to..." Y/N mumbles before sighing. "Fine. Let's trade." Y/N trades lunches with Harrison. Y/N takes a bite of her new lunch and groans in satisfaction, "Fuck, I missed this. I haven't been there since-"
She cuts herself off and looks at Harrison who wasn't enjoying the food at all, but seeing her happy was enough for him. Harrison feels someone staring and he looks up to see Y/N looking at him. He gives her a small smile before taking another bite of food.
"Since when?" Mitch asks.
Y/N looks away from Harrison and she pushes the fork around her food, "Since Harrison and I ate there two years ago."
Mitch just nods, "I bet you guys will go there again. Not now, but soon."
-
"Hey Y/N! Need a ride?" Harrison smiles as he stands in front of Y/N's desk. Y/N and Mitch look at each other as they pause for a bit in putting their things away.
Y/N chuckles as she continues to fix her things, "No thanks, Harrison. I can take the public transport." She grabs her bag and says goodbye to Mitch before heading out, leaving Harrison.
"Well, go after her!" Mitch cheers. "I know you're trying to get her back and I know you want to follow her."
Harrison flashes Mitch a smile before running to catch up with Y/N. Thankfully, he catches up with Y/N at the lobby on time.
"Hey Y/N wait up!" Harrison calls.
Y/N sighs and stops walking. Harrison walks up to her and says, "I'll give you a ride."
"I said no." Y/N argues.
"Yeah, but there'll be a storm and your umbrella won't suffice." Harrison shrugs. As if on cue, the thunder roared loud and the sky quickly turned grey. Y/N's jaw drops at the sight as Harrison smirks at her.
"So, what do you say?" Harrison asks again, patiently waiting for her answer. Y/N groans and scowls at him, "Let's go then." Harrison smiles to himself and says, "I'll take that." He reaches for her bag and the folders she's holding and carries it for her. She looks at him clearly surprised at the gesture. He never did that when they were dating.
'He really is trying, huh?' she thinks to herself.
