This seems like something he'd say. So I guess he's pan instead of gay because the converastion might go like this-
"You're gay. You like boys."
"You can't tell me what gender I like extra."
"But you're gay! That's what gay means!"
"I can like whoever the fuck I want to. I'm pan. I just choose that my interest is in boys."
"...Of course. Of fuckin' course."
