╚════════════╝"ALL RIGHT, first you're gonna see all kinds of lights, and it's gonna get really trippy but then it's gonna turn black and silent. Really silent."
Christina scoffed at Scott's description. "You say that like it's a bad thing."
He only frowned at her. "I'm serious, Chrissy. I'm just saying this cause I've been down there."
"We'll be fine. Have some faith." Hope commented after, passing by him to stand beside Christina.
Scott's phone rang and he quickly excused himself. Hank joined the two women, starting to talk about meeting Janet again after so many years. Although she grew up around Janet, Christina didn't feel like it was her place to stay around.
She stepped away from them, going on her phone to reply to texts and catch up on social media.
After a while, Scott rejoined the group with a pained expression. Before he could even open his mouth to explain, Christina rolled her eyes, smacking her forehead. "Oh geez, what now?"
"I feel like such a jerk." Scott shook his head, glancing at all three. "You're gonna be really mad. We gotta go now."
Hope and Hank both narrowed their eyes, "What?"
"Ghost knows where we are. So does the FBI?"
"The FBI? Scott, what the hell did you do?" Christina asked, brows now fully furrowed.
"How?" Hank inquired after.
"I told Luis where we are."
"You what?"
"I told him to come here so he could help us with the Karapetyan proposal." Scott defended, shaking his head slighltly. When Hope expressed her bewilderment, he commented further; "Look, we really need to land that account! Otherwise, we'll lose the business."
"Chris, you wanna slap him for me?" Hank murmured, although it was loud enough for all of them to hear.
She shifted her weight to one foot, placing a hand on her hip. "It's intriguing."
Scott shot Christina a look of disbelief. "Do you know how hard it is for ex-cons to find work these days?"
"Jesus, Scott!" Hank threw up his hands, turning away. He and his daughter quickly made it for the lab, with Christina and then Scott following.
They started to pack up as much as they could, as quickly as they could. While Hank and Christina packed, Hope shut down the portal. "Ninety seconds to close the aperture."
"You have to depolarize the coils first," Hank reminded, glancing up into the testing room.
"I'm really sorry," Scott commented, glancing around at everyone working. "But the FBI is coming to my place so...I have to go. Can I borrow the suit?"
Hank shot him a hurt look, pressing a button on the controls.
"Gyroscopic stabilizers, powering on." An automated voice said, making Scott pace when he realized he was being ignored.
He fished in his pocket, holding up the case that contained an Ant Man suit. "Look, uh, I'm just gonna borrow this suit. I-I'll come back. Just tell me where you'll be."
"Just go, Scott... We can handle this ourselves." Christina pressed in a firm voice, turning to him. Her face was unreadable to him, which hurt him more. "We've done this before; without you."
