Drowning In Blood

"Discipline is doing what needs to be done, even if you don't want to."

Selene stood in front of her fountain. Its water showing her children on Earth. She was observing the soon to be alpha of the Blood Moon pack break his mate's heart.

"You look disappointed," Artemis, goddess of the hunt, said.

"It's because I am," Selene responded. Rafael and Leya were the wolves she had failed so many years ago. This was their second chance but it was all going wrong. This was the lifetime made for them.

Rafael and Leya were the wolves of  Zane De Luca and Alessandra Romano, but a long time ago, they were the wolves of  Lorenzo Moretti and Rosanna Belluci. They never got their happily ever after. If anything they got the opposite.

"It wasn't your fault Selene," Artemis said.

Wasn't it though?

Wasn't it though?

Alpha Lorenzo stood in the temple of Selene. The temple was made of marble. There was an inscription in Greek on the top of the temple. It read for the one who gave light to the night. It was hidden in the forest to make sure no humans found it. It smelled like life all around the temple.

Lorenzo's face was stoic. No emotion was portrayed on his face as he stared into the eyes of the statue of Selene. It was said that her beauty was radiant like the moon. To Lorenzo, it all sounded like bullshit. She was not radiant, she was evil.

"You know, we all worship you because you are our like our mother," he said as he paced around the temple.

"Well Selene let me tell you something, I'm going to drown this temple in blood."

Lorenzo was never an emotional person but the small part of his heart that was capable of love had died the second his mate had. All that was left was rage. Red, hot, burning rage that he would unleash on the world.

"I'm going to drown this temple in the blood of your children until you bring back what belongs to me."

His eyes glowed gold as he looked at the statue with menacing eyes.

"You took my child and the woman I loved so it's only fair I return the favor."

At that point, his eyes had fully turned gold.

"After all I promised."

The temple that smelled like life would soon be filled with metallic smell of blood.

Selene had only seen it as an empty threat. All wolves reacted differently when they lost their mate. Some would act as if nothing had happened when they were really breaking inside, while others would become depressed. Few would become enraged but it was normal.
