Just like the day before, I heard glass shatter. Though, I didn't try to brush it off this time, choosing to instead make my way to the elevator as quickly as I could.
And here I was again in front of her door. I wondered if it was only me who came to check on her.
I knocked, and yet again, she opened the door, her chin once again being covered by her sweater.
I asked the same question as the night before, and again she gave me the same look.
She repeated the exact words she had said yesterday as if she was reading off a script, and of course, used the same excuse,
"It must've been the wind."
It was almost like deja vu, but this time, I knew I was going to make sure something changed.
