introduction: in korea there's a lot of superstitions that is told by the old generations and till this day there's still people that actually believed in the superstitions.
1. Do not look up when you are in the toilet otherwise you would find a ghost staring at you from above.
2.Crows caw bring misfortune, crows are messengers of bad luck.
3. White butterflies are the form of the dead.
4. Do not write names in red, because red is the colour of blood which represents death.
5. scatter some salt after attending a funeral, The spirit might be following you. scattering salt helps to get rid of the spirits.
6. pat your shoulders after telling ghost stories, otherwise a ghost would come and haunt you.
7. Do not cut your nails at night, if you did and a rat happens to have eaten your nails, the rat would have an appearance identical to yours.
8. on the first night living in your new house, you should sleep in the opposite direction of your bed so that the spirits wouldn't get into your house.
9. Do not turn on the fan in an confined room and fall asleep, or you might die in your sleep.
10. ( BONUS this might not be korean superstition)If there's someone that you really hate and you keep telling yourself "I hate this person I don't want to see or talk to him or her again, you will end up seeing him in unexpected places and you will eventually have feelings for this person.
