Chapter 28

Meeting

I sighed as my body landed on the comfy sofa of Craig's condo. It's a lonely Thursday night. Pabalik-balik lang ang routine ko araw-araw. I wake up around 5 in the morning, go to work, go home, eat dinner and then sleep. I'm so stressed din sa work since wala si Mr. Carter at sinama pa talaga niya si Shawn.

Bat si Shawn sinama, ako hindi? Pareho lang naman kaming sekretarya ah.

At ang dami pa namang naghahanap sakanya sa kompanya. Ang sinasabi ko lang sakanila ay nagpunta ng Greece si Mr. Carter to deal with something urgent. Eh yun lang sinabi niya eh.

Hindi ko naman alam kung anong ginagawa niya dun at hindi niya naman niya ako iniwan ng instructions. Kaya bahala siya sa buhay niya kung mawalan siya ng investors!

For all I know, he's having a good time right now with his Greek girlfriend.

"Such an asshole." I said and closed my eyes.

I should rest for a little while. Mamaya nalang ako maglilinis at magluluto. Bukas pa naman siya uuwi diba?

I woke up around 9 pm. Napahaba yata ang tulog ko. I looked around the condo and saw that nothing has changed. Mukhang wala talaga siya.

What are you expecting, Tati? Sabi nga Friday diba? Huwag masyadong excited. Galit ka sakanya.

I started cleaning his unit. Mukhang nalipasan na yata ako ng gutom since I don't really feel hungry right now.

After cleaning, I went to my bathroom and took a shower. Pagkatapos kong maligo agad naman akong nakaramdam ng antok.

I don't know with what's happening to me these days. My body feels so heavy at parati nalang akong inaantok. Is this because of boredom?

Gusto ko sanang tawagan sila Anna but I still don't have a phone yet. I was busy paying for our debt at nawala na sa isip ko ang cellphone. I should buy a phone though, kahit mura lang.

I positioned myself on my bed. I should have a good sleep tonight. Tomorrow is a big day!

I'm nervously walking towards the building. Today is the day. My first ever formal meeting with the big bosses.

I went inside the elevator and saw Shawn. I scanned the whole lift pero wala akong nakitang Mr. Carter? Where is he? Diba sabi niya ngayon siya uuwi?

Shawn noticed my confused look.

"Good morning Miss Tati. He will be here later. He still have to deal with some things." Sabi ni Shawn na parang nababasa ang iniisip ko.

I just nodded at what he said.

Okay lang bang malate siya? I thought we're meeting someone big today?

"You can directly go to the conference room, Miss." Shawn said after a moment of silence.

"I need to grab some things on my desk first." I smiled at him.

The elevator opened and I hurriedly went to my desk. It's 7:00 am and the meeting will start around 8:30.

After getting the laptop and the presentation folders, I nervously went inside the conference room. Wala pang tao dito since maaga pa naman. Malaki ang conference room. I think it can occupy around 20 people. Minimal lang din ang design which matches Craig's taste.

I really feel extra nervous today and I don't know why!

I distributed the folders. Apat lang ito. Bat dito kami sa malaking conference room kung apat lang pala ang bisita?
